Sample Customer Review… I was looking for a machine for quilting and didn’t need all the computerized embroidery stitches. I am so glad to have found this machine. I love how it sews. It is quiet. It is very easy to thread and use. I am still getting used to the knee lever to move the pressure foot up but love it when I remember, especially when pivoting. Love the thread cutter – that will always have to be a must for any new machine for me! I have already made a couple of small quilts and am raring to make more. I highly recommend it. I have now had this machine for a few months and really am happy overall. It is very easy to use and adjust the tension threads when free motion quilting. Sample Customer Review… I’m a fashion design graduate and I bought this machine as a graduation present to myself. It is one of the models that my school uses. It’s a reliable and versatile machine. However, it’s the Servo motor that makes it exceptional. The motor is ninja silent, has adjustable RPM’s this is very useful when you want to slow the stitching speed down for more precise work. It comes fully assembled on a giant pallet. All you have to do is remove from the pallet, add oil, and make fine adjustments to the tension. It even comes with a foot, bobbin and case, and a couple of needles (maybe I was only surprised by this because school made us buy these separately). I couldn’t be happier with the machine and the customer serviceRead more reviews at Amazon.com.

Sample Customer Review… The motor I selected supports variable speed operation with the top operating speed set via menu selection buttons. This speed control allowed me to work at a pace that made handling large pieces of canvas material very manageable. To give this machine a lot more low-speed needle punching power I changed the motor pulley from 90mm to 50mm which almost doubles the torque. This thing can easily punch through any amount of canvas that can fit under the pressure foot. Sewing with this machine is very straightforward and smooth. It only does one stitch and does that extremely well. You don’t need to baby this thing for it can pull material through it no matter how much weight you have hanging off the table without changing stitch length or popping needles from the weight of the fabric. If you intend to sew everything from thick canvas to leather belts, this type of machine is the way to go. The feed mechanism is too rough to use on light cloth garments but works great on denim and vinyl. It walks over seams effortlessly.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

Sample Customer Review… I am absolutely in love with this machine! I have had a Singer Curvy for basic sewing for the last 8 years, but I wanted to upgrade to a quilting machine. After much research, I chose the Juki as it had great reviews, and is sturdy enough to be able to sew canvas which I will need in the future. It was not disappointing! It is a very sturdy build (which means it does have some weight) which makes for incredibly smooth sewing. I’m used to a machine that vibrates so much my entire workspace bounces. My table stays completely still. Setup was very simple when following the instructions, and it was fun to find all of the little “perks” this machine has that I didn’t know existed. Every issue that I have had with my Juki has been due to user error, and the one time I was SURE it wasn’t me, I contacted Juki support and had a technician solve my problem within hours of emailing. (Hint, the problem was me.) So I now have a very sturdy, high-quality machine, and great customer service and support to back it up. Worth every penny!Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

Sample Customer Review… This really is the machine of my dreams. I’ve been sewing on a Singer from the 50s.. which I still have, but it was time to get a machine with dedicated stretch stitches, and yes a thread cutter. It has this and more. It runs smoothly and the presser foot goes up so high – I will have no problem hemming over seams of jeans. I have fallen in love with the float option – although I don’t quilt, I love that the fabric is locked in place until I decide to cut or turn. The machine is quiet and the table is great, although I will be adding to it at the rear to take larger garments as they are sewn (insulation foam board cut to fit, covered with plastic sheeting – look on YouTube for tutorials). I am finding that lots of the snap-on feet work that I have from other machines – and not just that they will attach, but the machine will sew with them. That is a consideration with some brands where the machine is so smart it knows if you are using a generic foot. Honestly, I don’t think I will ever outgrow this machine. Juki should do more marketing of this machine so it is better known – it really is a gem.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

- Aluminum body
- 14 built-in stitches
- Built-in needle threader
- Drop feed
- Manual thread tension control
- Front-loading vertical oscillating hook bobbin
Sample Customer Review… I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews, but I received it today and started sewing on it right away. It’s much quieter and smoother than my last machine (a Singer Tradition). It is a little different to thread it, but I just followed the instructions; they are very clear. I had zero issues with tension which was a constant battle with my other machine. This machine made it fun to sew instead of frustrating. Another positive is the weight; it seems pretty lightweight for an all metal machine. I thought it would be much heavier than it actually is which I appreciate since I don’t have a dedicated ‘sewing space’, and have to carry it from my storage space to use it on the kitchen table. Overall super happy (and I loved the little stickers that came with it).Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
Buying Guide: What to Look For When Searching for the Best Industrial Sewing Machines
Speed can be intimidating, when sewing professionally, you want to be as quick and efficient as possible. Industrial sewing machines range from 1,000 to at least 5,000 stitches per minute being much faster than at-home machines. Though faster speed may sound better, you will want to keep in mind it may not be great for leather and other thicker materials.
Threads the sewing needle for you automatically and is great for saving time.
Free Arm Option
This part of the machine extends out and allows the sewer to manipulate their fabric more easily around and under the needle.
The Knee lifter is great for freehand and embroidery. This feature will help simplify your embroidery process.
Adjustable Presser Feet
To protect the work fabric from damage due to squeezing too tightly, this feature allows the user to control the machine’s grip on the fabric.
This feature allows users to select the speed of the machine that most closely matches their needs. For example, beginners may prefer slower speeds, while high-volume production purposes may require a faster speed.
Frequency of Usage
This is an important factor for machine selection as more frequent sewers should consider purchasing a higher quality machine to allow for longer product life and greater quality.
Monetary factors should be considered while examining different options to select a machine that does not exceed available funds.
Your Sewing Experience
As there is a wide variety of sewing machines with differing components, the skill level and desires of the user should be considered to purchase a machine with the appropriate features for their particular machine usage.
With all this in mind, I hope you have narrowed down the best industrial sewing machines for you. Picking a new sewing machine is an exciting experience and I want to make sure you pick the one that best suits your needs. Consider what features fit your needs to help you pick the best fit for you.
