1. Apple Airpods Pro
[amazon box=”B07ZPC9QD4″ description=” ” rating=”4.8″]
Apple AirPods Pro was included because it meets the bare minimum standards for this list. It is perfect for those with Apple devices and would like something which is good enough to not be affected by water during a drizzle or sweat. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it. Granted it has Bluetooth 5.0 and decent sound quality. Furthermore, it has active noise cancellation and allows wireless charging.
However, I believe that the earbuds are too expensive for what they are offering. There are much cheaper options that have the same Bluetooth 5.0 connection, provide better waterproof protection, and have crispier sound quality. I would gladly trade for the sensors offered in this set of earbuds. However, if you have a stack of cash lying around and are ok with decent sound quality, then the AirPods are perfect for you.
Specifications:
- A rating of IPX4
- 4.5 hour battery life
- Action button
- Tons of sensors
- High performing chip (H1 based System)
Sample Customer Review… Best earbuds I’ve ever purchased. For years I wanted wireless noise-canceling earbuds after using the Beats Studios and Bose QC Lines. Being an iPhone user I always saw the appeal of AirPods but never could use them due to them not fitting my ear correctly and always falling out. As soon as I saw the design of the AirPods pro I instantly came to amazon and ordered them.
If you’re at all contemplating ordering these, I 100% recommend them. The noise-canceling is slightly above average and the transparency mode is extremely useful on the go or whenever you need to hear your surroundings with your music. The amazing product is definitely worth the price.

2. Jaybird Vista True Wireless Headphones
[amazon box=”B07R9QJS9L” description=” ” rating=”4.5″]
So there, is it expensive, yes, but still cheaper when compared to most other well-known brands. Jaybird is known to provide high-end audio equipment at cheaper prices, even if they are not well known. Furthermore, these earbuds, unlike most on this list, were intended for sports including swimming, which is quite rare. Obviously, because of its high price and other reasons, its comments were only 70% 5 stars but also had 14% 4 stars.
Most of their comments for this project are extremely detailed. Most low-star reviews are due to the fact that these earbuds were designed for in-gym or underwater usage, and not for running, as it inhibits some sound from the outside world. Yet, if you are like me, who just prefers to be in their own world while simply enjoying the moment, then these earbuds are for you.
Specifications:
- IPX7
- 6 hour battery life
- JSB1 true wireless connection
Sample Customer Review… I’ve been using Jaybird Vistas as daily drivers—at work, for workouts, and for travel—for a while now. The battery life is insane, I love the ability to charge them in the case, and I usually get through an entire workday on a single charge. There’s no latency on video calls, or while watching YouTube or Netflix.
The sound quality is on-par with my favorite wired headphones. Honestly, these things kick SO much a$$. They’re light enough to almost disappear in your ears for long flights, long podcasts, or long workdays. They’re made for workouts, but these things are truly insane for daily listening. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

3. Bose Soundsport Wireless
[amazon box=”B01L7PSJFO” description=” ” rating=”4.5″]
Bose is known for its excellent sound devices from wireless Bluetooth speakers to headphones. The Sound sport wireless is no exception.
So in a nutcase, it’s not bad for a set of earbuds. Although it is not completely wireless, it is still made by Bose, whose audio quality has always been at the top of every tech reviewer’s list. Furthermore, with only a fraction of the cost of Apple’s earbuds, Bose manages to deliver a crucial factor for earbud shopping, great sound quality. However, it does not have a charging case, which might be a problem for some people if you have a desk full of wires, like me.
Specifications:
- Has IPX4
- 6 hour battery
- NFC pairing
Sample Customer Review… If you are looking for wireless headphones to use while you work out or running, stop searching further… The Bose SoundSport stands heads and shoulders above any in-ear headphones I’ve used in terms of audio quality. Even though noise cancellation is not a product feature, because of how these headphones sit inside your ear, they effectively block out all outside noise.
They are very comfortable to wear – they come with 3 adapters that you can choose from to suit the size of your ear opening. So, it is not a one size fits all scenario. The sweat absorption is superb and it stays securely fit at all times. The charging levels last me for at least 3 gym sessions of 2 hours each and I still have some left for a weekend run. So, very practical as well. I absolutely love this headphone and is my preferred one to use when it comes to working out.

4. Jabra Elite Active 75T
[amazon box=”B086VPZFBV” description=” ” rating=”4.3″]
These earbuds are quite popular for exercises, but why?
So, yeah. Pretty expensive, but offers a lot. This is exactly what a high-end product is about. Expensive? Sure, but it also makes up for it with the most modern tech integrated into this powerhouse.
There isn’t much to say except for the fact that this earbud is an all-around beast in action and once you buy it, after your initial regret of spending 200 dollars, you will soon come to realize that this is a worthwhile investment whose value will only increase exponentially in the future, as you continuously fall in love with this product every time you use it.
Specifications:
- IPX7
- Bluetooth 5.0
- 7.5 hour battery life
Sample Customer Review… If I had only 1 word to describe these – “perfect” would be it. I’m a BT headset aficionado – owned or tried at least a couple of dozens of high-end ones, including offerings from Sony, Bragi Dash, Jabra, etc. and these earbuds are the best by far. Smaller and lighter than my predecessor elite 65t which I also owned, it lasts 7.5 hours without recharging, pairing is fast, and once paired – the connection is literally instant, faster than any BT headset I’ve tried.
It takes me about 2 seconds to remove them from the charging case and put them into my ears, and I almost always miss the “Connected” voice notification – that’s how fast they connect to the last 2 devices used. Both music and phone calls are of excellent quality, at least on my end of the call. Haven’t heard any complaints about call quality from people, on the other end of the line. I think Jabra put themselves in trouble with this model – I don’t know what they can possibly improve on next year.

5. Anker Soundcore Life P2
[amazon box=”B07SJR6HL3″ description=” ” rating=”4.3″]
The Anker Soundcore Life P2 is a pair of comfortable earbuds that fit snugly with interchangeable silicone buds. With an IPX7 rating, these are fully waterproof earbuds, meaning they can handle weather like rain and snow, even swimming and sweating as well! These earbuds come in a little case that weighs around 2 ounces but packs over 40 hours of battery life.
The earbuds themselves offer 7 hours of battery life and if you are in a hurry, with only 10 minutes of charging it offers an hour. The buttons on the devices handle basic commands except changing volume. With two mics built into each bud, your voice is clear as day despite the background noises! Overall it is a great waterproof wireless headphone that can be used for exercise and casually like for music and phone calls. If you want a multipurpose set of headphones this should be one that can’t be ignored!
Specifications:
- IPX7 Rating
- Bluetooth 5.0
- 40 Hours of Battery Life For The Case
- 7 Hours of Battery For The Headphones
- Two Built-In Mics
Sample Customer Review…I’m very happy with these. They have most of the features of the Apple AirBuds which fell out of my pocket somewhere en route from Texas to New York, with no way to trace them, and at a small fraction of the cost, while actually fitting better than the non-top-of the line version I had. Sound quality is amazing when listening to music, and I’m surprised how much they block outside noise.
I love that I can use either earbud singly when I just want to be able to answer my phone or listen to the spoken word, and I don’t have to fight with it to get it to do that (unlike another brand tried). They also pair nearly effortlessly. The only thing they don’t do that the much more expensive ones did is Qi charging, and for the massive price difference, I can live without that.
I got an entire night’s listening to my Kindle on one bud, had about 25% left, and can recharge in the case, so that’s absolutely not an issue. I’m also told that it’s really easy to hear me on the phone when using either or both of these.

6. Taotronics SoundLiberty 92
[amazon box=”B0892KJ27Y” description=” ” rating=”4.3″]
These earbuds will make you wonder WOW, is this even real??
With over a 90% 5-star review on Amazon, this product seems almost too good to be real. Well, almost, seeing that this actually exists. With specifications like a rating of IPX8, a 5-hour battery life, AND Bluetooth 5.0, this definitely deserves to be the first place. Especially, with its price being much much lower than any other item on the list.
If you have some cash to spare then I would most definitely urge you to try out this headset. Unfortunately, despite its unbelievable stats, it has 0 noise cancellation, which might be a bit troublesome for swimmers who plan to use these underwater, which is why these earbuds don’t take first place.
Specifications:
- IPX8
- Airpod Look-alike
- Bluetooth 5.0
- 5h battery life
Sample Customer Review… These in-ear headphones have phenomenal sound. It’s very balanced with highs, mids, and bass, which I’m a big fan of. They stay in my ears easily and don’t fall out… They do pair immediately with whatever device you’re using. I think they paired with my iPad as soon as I removed the charger from the box. These are awesome little earbuds and I would recommend them to anyone.
They are comfortable as well. If I didn’t know the sound was coming through one or both earbuds, I wouldn’t notice them. This is our third TaoTronics product we’ve purchased and have been really impressed with each product. I hate reviews that say, “stop researching and buy these!” But, seriously, “stop researching and buy these!!” They sincerely are amazing in-ear headphones and I’m very, very picky about comfort and sound.

7. Plantronics BackBeat
[amazon box=”B077Z9NV6C” description=” ” rating=”4.3″]
This list is about headphones, so here is a more traditional one.
Not the best headphones, but it was designed to be used while swimming. 65% of the comments on Amazon were positive (4 stars or higher). Unfortunately, the item is unavailable to purchase on Amazon, so your best bet would be to obtain this pair from other sources. But why is it number 7? Well, the product is well priced for all that it offers. They are easy to use and have excellent customer service from Plantronics, a reputable audio-tech company.
Specifications:
- IPX7
- 8 hour battery life
- Bluetooth ?? (Assume 4.2)
Sample Customer Review… These are great for what I need them for. Not like top-end headphones but it does the job. Does not give a heavy bass but it doesn’t sound bad. If you’re wanting bass then these are not for you. There is plenty of mid-range with these and I watched movies and shows with no problem. It’s easy to pair with bluetooth and the battery life is really good. It’s nice that it can still be plugged with an audio cable for when the battery runs out. So far so good.

8. Beats Solo Pro
[amazon box=”B07YVYZLC8″ description=” ” rating=”4.7″]
The Beats Solo Pro has made it to the Best Waterproof Wireless Headphones list due to its incredible features and up-to-date technology. They have some of the best noise-canceling technology that allows the user to only hear what they want. It has up to 22 hours of battery life when active listening and up to 40 hours with an ANC and transparency that is turned off.
As mentioned before, there are several new features included in this style of headphones that have not been seen before on most listening devices. They have the Apple H1 Headphone chip and a class 1 Bluetooth to maximize the range distance and avoid dropouts. These headphones are compatible with Android and iOS. They are so sophisticated that they have a built-in microphone to add an extended series of features. These features include hands-free controls on iOS devices.
They have voice compatibility with the b button with several different devices it is compatible with. They can be charged quickly and come with a carrying case to ease travel. Although they are noise-canceling, they also have the transparency feature to allow people to use them while walking and be aware of important surroundings. They are foldable and automatically turn on and off when folded to be put away in a more compact space.
Specifications:
- 22 hours of battery life
- Compatible with iOS and Android
- Noise Cancelling & Transparency options
- Apple H1 Chip
- Class 1 Bluetooth
- Quick Charge
- Auto on & off when folding or unfolding
Sample Customer Review… The Beats Solo Pro is absolutely phenomenal! As always, the quality of music nowadays depends highly on the streaming source. YouTube is quite frequently at the bottom of the food chain compared to other streaming platforms but these headphones make even YouTube better. Aside from YouTube, the sound quality is amazing and clean. The noise cancellation is on point and helps in creating that concert atmosphere without the sound of being in a tunnel.
I wear them quite often and they are easily the comfortable I’ve worn. Adjustment is simple and solid, no clicks to hit and you can get the right fit. The controls on the headset themselves are great and easy to figure out (I’m not a direction reader). The ability to fold them up makes it even better as they take up less space. I have two other Beats products and they haven’t let me down yet, hoping these headphones follow suit. Highly recommend!

9. EarFun Free
[amazon box=”B07R5MKX3K” description=” ” rating=”4.3″]
The EarFun Free is a pair of wireless earbuds with an IPX7 rating meaning they can withstand the water and intense training leaving you dripping and exhausted quite well! These earbuds are able to be charged wirelessly which isn’t quite common among other wireless earbuds and on top of that there is a USB type C charging port. The earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.0.
They are comfortable and a great fit and the earbuds offer over 6 hours of charge time and the case backs 24 hours extra. A great thing is if you forgot to charge it and must go, 10 minutes can offer your headphones over 2 hours of listening time! These are a reliable set of headphones that can get the job done, and these may be the perfect headphones for your next workout!
Specifications:
- IPX7
- Bluetooth 5.0
- Battery Life 6 Hours
- Case Battery Life 24 Hours
Sample Customer Review…This product blew away all my beliefs about getting what you pay for! These earbuds are worth more than what they’re selling for. The BEST of all TWE’s under $50. These buds sit on top of all my earbuds and headphones collected thru my search for the best sounding one. These Earfun Free rivals my $200 Bose Soundsport Free in sound quality.
I’m not a professional product reviewer nor do I claim to have “golden ears”, I’m merely making comparisons based on my listening experience with different products I own. From a $300 Bose ANC headphones, Sony, Bluedio, Coumi, etc. These Earfuns sound the best to me. It covers the whole sound spectrum cleanly and with such clarity, but what excites me the most is how Earfun’s engineers were able to create incredibly clean, tight, deep bass.
If I can only recommend one amongst all the reviews I’ve done of the products I have bought from Amazon, it is the Earfun earbuds!! I’m not getting anything from anyone with this review, I’m just that happy with this purchase. I highly and excitedly recommend these greatly priced, awesome earbuds!!

10. JBL Reflect Flow
[amazon box=”B07VNBJMPZ” description=” ” rating=”4″]
The JBL Reflect Flow, these wireless earbuds are great, they are made by a company known for their sports-oriented headphones. And on them are their patented ear wings which maximizes stability in all sports, meaning no matter how much you move they will stay in! Absolutely lightweight to boot meaning you may not even notice that you are wearing them.
And with an IPX7 rating, these earbuds can be worn underwater, meaning that you can enjoy your music even while swimming which is amazing! And the icing on top of it all is that with battery life from the earbuds that are able to last 10 hours and the case offering 20 additional hours, meaning that you can last the whole day! If you are a heavy sweater or a swimmer and need something to stand up to the test and pass then these are a wonderful pair of headphones to consider!
Specifications:
- IPX7
- 5.8 mm Driver
- 10 Hour Battery Life
- 20 Hour Battery Life For Charger
- Ear Wings
- Ambient Aware and Talk Thru
Sample Customer Review…These buds are fantastic. I bought them to use while running, or power walking and they haven’t disappointed. I had a pair of “normal” buds that were advertised as sports, but even though they do a good job in general, they weren’t really created especially for a snug fit. This point was proven when they fell out during a run, which prompted me to buy a real exercise set, the JBLs.
Surprisingly, not only have these filled the need while exercising, I find myself listening to them for more than just workouts. The reason is because of the sound. Clear, no distortion, balanced, nice sound stage, nice tight bass, just balanced. As for other functionality, they pair quickly, charge quickly, and do not cut out. They also achieve passive noise cancellation, due to the snug fit. Overall, very happy with them.

Things to Consider Before Buying
Price
The cheapest is not always the best and neither is the most expensive. Hopefully, there are diverse choices on the list to prove both points. If you are truly lost and don’t know where to start at all, then create a budget for yourself. Try to find an item that matches your budget and resonates with you.
Bluetooth
At the end of the day a Bluetooth 4.2 works just as well as 5.0 so don’t limit yourself by thinking that you must absolutely have the latest hardware. You don’t need it. Having a newer Bluetooth does allow faster data transfer, but so does Bluetooth 4.2 if the source of your music, your phone, is directly in your pocket.
Battery Life
All headphones on this list have relatively the same battery life. However, the earbuds with cases allow you to charge them on multiple occasions, which significantly improves their battery life, just something to keep in mind.
Style
I tried including the headphones which look the most stylish from the rest, so go ahead and pick the one you like the best.
Comfortability
In this list, there are a variety of ways a product may express comfortability. Whether it is non-existent, has interchangeable ear tips are is simply comfy and snug for your ear, the list has diversity for all of it.
Sound
Sound is absolute while shopping for new headphones. If you want to swim or run or simply be able to be aware of the exterior world, don’t go for the ones that block external noises or have active noise cancellation. If you want a hybrid or simply wanna be left alone, then grab the noise cancellation ones.
Conclusion
So you have made it this far huh? Congratulations, you must really want to make sure that you have the best headphones for your value. If you are in the market of allowing yourself to spend at least 200$ then I would suggest list item numbers 1 and 3.
If you want to be careful and not splurge too much, while also trying to look fashionable then I most definitely suggest getting item number 2. Unless you preferred another numbered item. Remember that this list was based on my rankings, which involves a slight bias preference so, treat yourself well and pick whichever one makes you happiest at the end of the day, because that is what truly matters 🙂
