1. Medify MA-40W Air Purifier
[amazon box=”B08FRSC2X9″ description=” ” rating=”4.8″]
Then we have Medify Air’s purifier. This purifier is constructed with medical-grade H13 filters, which are actually rated higher than True HEPA filters, for all of you indoor allergy people. With three stages of filtering, it promises to get rid of 99.9% of all particles, plus this purifier can clean rooms up to 1,600 square feet in one hour, though its recommended use is in rooms of 800 square feet or smaller.
Sample customer review…This Medify Air MA-40W V2.0 Air Purifier, along with 2 additional filters, arrived well packaged. I let the unit sit for a few days before plugging it in. Since that time, this unit has been running non-stop, sometimes on a high setting and sometimes on the various other fan speeds. I don’t find the noise on the high setting to be irritable or too loud. On the night time setting, it is almost whisper quiet. Definitely feel that the air in my house smells different – in that I am not detecting any odors. It is sitting between my kitchen and dining room. Unit looks very sleek and modern with an ample length electrical cord on it. Glass control panel is easy to keep clean. Very pleased with this purchase and the quality of the product. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for an air purifier for a room in their home. I think in time, I am also going to purchase one of the smaller units, Medify MA-25, in white if they ever come back in stock.

2. Blueair Blue Pure 211+
[amazon box=”B073WJL99W” description=” ” rating=”4.7″]
Coming in at our much loved top pick is the Blueair Blue Pure 211+.
This air purifier from Blueair is best for removing various particles, including bacteria, mold, pet dander, dust, pollen, viruses, and other airborne pollutants. Its three-part filtration system (one each for material, particles, and carbon particles) claims to clear up to 99% of common airborne pollutants.
It’s a perfect size for family rooms, bedrooms, and large offices, it is designed to cover up to 540 square feet. With it’s Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 350 cubic feet per minute, it can clean the air in a 540-square-foot room approximately four times in just one hour!
Sample Customer Review… This thing is easy on the eyes, very straightforward setup, you plug it in, click a button, and go on with your day. We have this in our bedroom, and within 4 hours there was a VERY noticeable difference in air quality, a total of 180 by the next day. As you walk from the living room into the bedroom, the odors disappear, it smells clean – almost sterile, and it feels like you’re breathing PURE O2 out of an oxygen tank. We no longer wake up with stuffy noses, we sleep better, and we don’t worry about the baby (who sleeps in our bedroom) breathing indoor pollutants. If you’re looking for an air filter like I was, if you want something that WORKS, is EASY, looks great, don’t waste any more time researching. Get this and start breathing right, right away.

3. RabbitAir Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier
[amazon box=”B079K9CBQ7″ description=” ” rating=”4.7″]
Let’s face it — when installing an air purifier you have to take into account how much space it is going to take up. Well look no further for those with crowded living spaces, let me introduce the RabbitAir MinusA2 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier. This wall-mounted purifier is the perfect solution, with its sleek design it is sure to catch visitors’ eyes at first glance. Aesthetics aside, this purifier incorporates a custom filter. This unique feature allows you to choose and target specific toxins, odors, pet dander, or germs depending on your needs.
Sample customer review… I was a little nervous about dropping this much money for an air purifier, but it was the only one I found that covered reasonable square footage. I planned to use this for my whole condo, not just one room. I have about 1200 square feet. I’ve mounted it to the wall in my living room, which is open concept to the kitchen, dining room, and front hallway. It doesn’t really get my bedrooms which are in the back, but I didn’t expect it to. I have 2 dogs, a cat, and was worried there would be pet odors. Since getting this purifier, people have actually commented as to how fresh it smells in my place and that the air felt lighter. I have the germ filter although I don’t know what the difference is between what the filters do. I’m not sure it entirely makes a difference. I can really see how hard the machine works when I cook dinner. The purifier doesn’t like any kinds of smells, so when I cook dinner it freaks out a little bit and will run on high until all cooking odors are gone. I’ve had this machine for a month and am absolutely loving it. I don’t regret my purchase at all. I would also recommend it to anyone who asks.

[amazon box=”B01728NLRG” description=” ” rating=”4.7″]
Coway is one of the top names in air purifiers and the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier is one of their hottest models. It has various different features the guarantee the best air cleansing experience. Some of which are included are, an air quality indicator, an auto mode that adjusts the fan speed to the air quality, and a shut-off timer.
Sample customer review…I’m very pleased with this product. It has served us well during the smoke from the BC fires this summer in Vancouver. We both have respiratory issues and noticed an improvement right away. It’s light in weight, not too loud on its strongest setting, and clears out food smell quite quickly. We chose this product because of the reasonable cost and that filters could be changed approximately yearly, or when it indicates that you should. We also like how this purifier looks. It’s like a big iPod shuffle.

5. Honeywell HPA300
[amazon box=”B00BWYO53G” description=” ” rating=”4.7″]
Next we have the Honeywell HPA300. Honeywell is a well-known brand for air purifiers so it would be a crime if there wasn’t one featured. This model is the company’s most acclaimed model because of how affordable and effective it is. The HPA300 is great for living rooms, bedrooms, large office spaces because it’s designed to cover 600 square feet.
Sample customer review… COVID- Research shows that ventilation is huge in the prevention of covid spread, so having this air-cleaning marvel in our house just makes us go ”Ahhhh”, and we BREATHE easier–figuratively and literally!! We also know that if one of us actually got covid, it would be a very necessary tool, along with isolation, to help prevent spread from one of us to the other. We bought it for its HEPA filter which removes airborne particles as small as .3 microns. Compare that to other machines! It also cleans the air 5 times an hour, so when we have had one or two folks in, we use it and feel safer! (It’s also amazing at removing that “old people” smell from our ”old people” house!) This machine has a large capacity. We have a very large room, where it works perfectly, and it even helps somewhat in an adjoining room. We turn it on TURBO in the morning for an hour or so, and it makes the whole area smell fresh. Then we reduce the fan speed. The turbo speed does produce a fair amount of noise, but to us, it’s worth it. On a reduced setting, it is a very acceptable level–no more than a fan. (We haven’t used either the remote or the timer.) Also we oldsters have no problem lifting it and moving it around. The white one is really almost attractive, and the white cord is easy to see on the floor (trip hazard). We bought two other-brand smaller purifiers for our bedrooms, but they don’t do the job well, and to get those so-so results take hours!!! If you can afford it, I would recommend this product wholeheartedly! If necessary, we/you could move it from room to room.

6. Dyson Pure Hot + Cool-HP01
[amazon box=”B07KXBX32V” description=” ” rating=”4.6″]
Dyson is a household appliances company that is growing and expanding. This expansion includes introducing the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool as a fan, heater, and air purifier all in one. This is a step above Dyson’s Pure Cool Model that only cools and does not include heat. Although Dyson is one of the more expensive options, it has three features in this one machine. You can stay nice and cool all summer and warm all winter plus an air purifier to filter your room. This Dyson is great for those who love technology. With the Dyson app, you are able to see real-time air quality reports as well as syncing up your Amazon Alexa.
The Dyson HPo1 model includes 10 fan speed settings and can oscillate up to 350 degrees. There is also an option for nighttime mode and a sleep timer. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool provides 77 gallons of airflow a second and is asthma and allergy friendly.
Sample Customer Review…This product is very easy to use, and I feel like it really does its job of purifying the air because I’ve been finding myself sneezing significantly less ever since I started using this product for at least some hours during the day and also at night (and I usually struggle from allergy to something in my home that is caused by the carpet in the bedroom and A/C). Now that it’s winter, the machine helps heating our small bedroom, which otherwise would get frozen by the morning, during the night, and it’s nice that I don’t have to use my other heater as the Dyson one takes care of both tasks. I’m sure it will be effective as a cooler in the summer heat, too. In addition to getting the job done, it looks amazing with its sleek, modern design. Pretty happy with the purchase so far!

Sample Customer Review…The Winix AM90 Wi-Fi PlasmaWave Technology, Works with Amazon Alexa Smart App Air Purifier 360 sq ft Room Capacity White has been a pleasant surprise. It is one of the less expensive machines we have purchased and one of the better ones we have. Next to a $600 air cleaner, this is one of the better ones we have gotten. It REALLY makes a difference in her room and helps keep it from smelling musty and generally bad when you walk in the room.
Read more reviews at Buying Guide: Things to Consider When Purchasing an Air PurifierAHAM Verifide Mark
The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers is an EPA-recognized association that sets the standards for CADR. When purchasing an air filter, it is important to ensure that it has an AHAM Verifide mark on either the back or side of the air filtering device to guarantee that your air purifier has been properly evaluated.
CADR Rating
The CADR rating, or clean air delivery rate, specifies how many particles are removed by the air filter per minute. Each air filtering device is given three scores for smoke, pollen, and dust. The higher the CADR rating, the more efficient an air filter is in purifying the air.
Size Guidelines
According to AHAM, your air purifier’s CADR rating should equal at least two-thirds of your room’s area to ensure efficient air filtration. For example, if the room in question is 210 square feet then your filter should have a smoke CADR rating of 140. Any rating higher than two-thirds of the area will purify the air faster but may produce excessive noise and energy usage.
Noise Level
Depending on where your air filter is located, noise may be a significant factor when considering what type of purifier to buy. Generally, air filters emit little to no sound, but the larger a filter gets the louder the hum of the machine will be. In places such as a garage, noise may not be an issue, but for a bedroom, you want the quietest filter possible. Be sure to check the specifications for noise when reviewing options for air filters.
Allergen Specifications
Pets, personal allergies, and high pollen plants are all important factors to consider when purchasing an air filter. Depending on which of these is an important issue for you could impact what kind of air filter you get as they all specialize in different things. For example, HEPA filters can handle allergens such as pollen and mold while activated charcoal filters are more efficient in removing chemical emissions.
Additional Costs and Maintenance
The larger space your air filter is in, the more expensive the filter is going to be depending on the CADR rating, naturally. However, some air purifiers require that the filters be frequently changed, though these filters tend to be much cheaper than filters that need to be swapped out yearly. Larger purifiers may use more electricity, though this is not always the case if you purchase an energy-efficient device or one with an eco mode.
Additional Features
It is most important to ensure that the air filter you purchase is efficient in filtering the air, but some filters contain additional features and qualities that may be advantageous. Some models contain extra perks such as a UV light, timer, oscillation, sensor, and remote control, though none of these are essential for a high-quality air filter.
Conclusion
When picking an air purifier it’s very important to base it around what works best for you. With arrays of features, costs, and styles the selection can become somewhat overwhelming. Above are some of the best air purifiers for this upcoming season, and can ensure that you will be breathing soundly throughout the day and night. Hopefully, after reading this article, you have a better understanding of what you believe are the best air purifiers.
