Sample customer review…Have had two other electric toothbrushes over the last 10 years and neither one did the job of this one. Recommended by my dentist and it made a difference in my oral health. It’s rechargeable and even when I travel for a few days it maintains sufficient charge to get the job done. It has a timer to remind you how long you should brush. If you think of your mouth as four quadrants, you get a 30-second signal to make the switch for each one and a different signal to tell you that you are done. It’s more expensive than the cheap replace battery ones but the quality is so much better as is the job it does.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…I’ve been using this Powerbrush for over a year and decided to purchase another to give as a gift. It has 5 modes and it comes with 5 Brush heads (all different) and a really nice travel case. I use it on the #3 Setting, it pulses every 30 seconds. The Brush heads are very high quality and last for months. (I replaced mine after 3 or 4 months and it’s still almost like new!) My brush head is probably at least 3 months old. Still seems new. I also like the fact that it takes up a smaller footprint in my bathroom. I’ve taken it overseas and you don’t need to charge it on vacation. 1 full charge lasts for 30 days plus! You just can’t beat the value. I’ve used other more expensive power brushes and this one is equally as good if not better. Buy it, you’ll love it.Read more reviews on Amazon.com

Sample customer review…My first time using an electronic toothbrush and I love it. The clean you feel afterward is like no other, and I don’t see myself going back almost relatable to a when you go to the dentist to get a cleaning. I haven’t connected it to my phone mainly because I don’t see a reason to get that involved in brushing, but I do love to feature every minute it reminds you to switch which is all I really need. If it’s your first time make the switch I see no reason why you wouldn’t make the jump to this especially if you’re going to spend this type of money. Just get it out the way so you’re not buying a ton of electric toothbrushes. I take it to work because I work a 12 hour night shift so before I leave, I brush. I have nothing bad to say about it. If I were to knit pick I would say the price, but other electric brushes out there are around the same price.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…We had the round spin brushes before and they tore our gums up. The dentist suggested this particular one so we tried it. The more expensive ones do essentially the same thing so this model is the most cost-effective unless you just want to spend a lot on a toothbrush. With this you brush by quadrant then it prompts you to move on with an extra vibration. If you press too hard it will tell you. I prefer to keep my mouth mostly closed when using it because it calms down the vibration and makes it so the plastic doesn’t accidentally hit a tooth which feels bad. It’s kept my teeth dentist clean and it’s been 2 months since the cleaning. Floss and use mouthwash after to keep your gums healthy. It holds a charge for a long time so when traveling you don’t need to even take a charger unless you’ll be gone for a couple of weeks. I’ve actually been using it without charging it and it’s been 3 weeks twice a day now. The bristles on the head also have no signs of wear and it’s been 2 months. You are not supposed to press hard you are supposed to let it glide on your teeth. If you’re making the bristles fray you should ask your dentist how to use it just in case you’re doing it too hard which can cause issues with your enamel and or gums.Read more reviews on Amazon.com

The app is easy to use and although I thought I’d never use an app for brushing my teeth, I actually use it every day! I feel like my teeth are whiter and cleaner and my breath has definitely improved because I believe it is removing more plaque than my previous brush. Finally, the app encourages other habits (flossing, rinsing) and will alert you to do so. Therefore, I have flossed and gargled every day since I got it. I have put off buying one because of the price but after getting my teeth cleaned I realized and my dentist agreed that I need to get a new one. My dentist said that they really do a much better job and get to more places than a traditional toothbrush and I have minor gum issues that I’m hoping this brush will help with. I love the updated head design! My old one was larger and impossible to clean inside the head. Not only is this head design easier to keep clean, but it’s so much cheaper for replacement heads! I had forgotten how clean a Sonicare gets your teeth and I love the feature that lets you know when to move to the next section of your teeth so you brush each section for 30 seconds for a total of 2 minutes. It really helps to ensure that you are brushing for the proper amount of time. Shipping was very quick and the brush had enough charge to start using immediately.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…I absolutely love my Sonicare Toothbrush. If you have never owned one of these, you’re missing out. These toothbrushes are the best. This one is my second one. These babies clean much better and deeper than your standard toothbrush. I am guilty of brushing too hard with standard toothbrushes but these Sonicare toothbrushes allow you to simply hold the brush in your mouth and it does the work for you. These toothbrushes give off a soft beep inside your mouth to let you know to switch sides or to go to the next set of teeth. Mine has three settings (clean, white, deep clean). The brush is long-lasting. Mine holds up for about two weeks and then I charge it not because it is dying but because I just know I need to. You can also use this brush in the shower. It comes with a travel case for easy storage. I ordered more heads off Amazon. This brush also comes with Bluetooth to allow you to be coached on your brushing and to see where you need help. Overall I love this brush. These brushes are the best!Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…Bought this for my 8-year-old son after his last dental visit. The electric brush he was using didn’t quite work well for him, left lots of plaque, and didn’t time his brushing. This Sonicare kid brush solved all our problems. It is the perfect size for his mouth. It connects to an app via Bluetooth that shows how to brush and where. The vibrations are not rough or scary. It’s a perfect speed. The child follows the animation (avatar) and the brush also signals when to move to the next quadrant. My son is a pro at brushing correctly now. He earns gifts for his little avatar each time he brushes. I also get alerts/notifications when it’s time to brush. My son has not missed a day or night of brushing thanks to this product. I’m more than pleased. The battery has yet to need recharging. It’s been almost a month!! My husband, my daughters, and I all have Sonicare brushes…I’m so glad they have this awesome kid-friendly brush too.Read more reviews at Amazon.com
11. Waterpik Sonic-Fusion
Endorsed by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Sonic Fusion assures the maintenance of oral hygiene and removal of plaque. This product is easy to use as there is simply one button to control the three different modes of the toothbrush. Additionally, it contains advanced water pressure features which give the user 10 different pressure settings to utilize. Overall, this toothbrush is an excellent choice for a user looking for efficiency as it allows for successful multitasking.
- Brush and floss at the same time
- 2x as effective as traditional brushing and flossing
- 3 modes: Brush, Floss, Brush & Floss
- 10 Pressure settings
- Handle detaches for brushing on the go
- Rechargeable battery
Sample customer review…I love this product. I wish I’d had one years ago. Lives up to all its claims: cleans my teeth better than manual brushing & flossing. The water-flossing didn’t set off any pain or sensitivity around gum line recession, which was my biggest concern, and I had the water-power control knob set at 7 out of 10. It’s my first time ever using an electric toothbrush or Waterpik product because I was skeptical about any added benefit. I stand corrected. It’s easy, the white unit is compact and fits well on my vanity sink counter. I brushed and flossed twice the first time I used it because it was the first time in years brushing was pleasant and felt good, not painful. I usually floss first then brush and haven’t yet tried to brush and floss at the same time. The only surprise is that the water reservoir has to be filled every time you floss. It only holds enough water for 60 seconds of flossing at higher pressure. I actually don’t mind this, because I’d rather use fresh water each time anyway to keep the unit clean. I’m sold, and would highly recommend it.Read more reviews on Amazon.com

The Rotadent Contour is the ideal choice if you are looking for consistent comfort without sacrificing the deep clean that your mouth needs. This toothbrush is recognized and recommended by many dentists and oral hygienists for its delicate bristles, which are great for those with sensitive gums, teeth, or those who are recovering from recent mouth surgery. This product is great when it comes to fighting and preventing gingivitis, gum infections, and cavities, especially since it is known for delivering a thorough, pain-free experience.
- Boasts as much as 90,000 filament movements per second for an intense and thorough clean.
- Features hyper-soft bristles that actively work to prevent damage to gums and enamel.
- Device shuts down automatically after exceeding the ideal brush time (two minutes).
- Battery lasts as long as three weeks on a single charge (assuming a regular bi-daily brushing schedule is followed).
Sample customer reviews…I had the original classic for years. The last one finally would not charge so it was time to replace. The classic is no longer made. I opted for the newest model Procare. It is very well designed. All the shortcomings of the original have been re-designed with the Procare. Water can no longer get in the charging plug or the switch. The new unit has less torque than the original but still works great. It emulsifies the plaque with the characteristic foam when used. It also has a gentle mode which would most likely benefit post-procedural gum tissue. It has a new 4 quadrant timer so the proper amount of time is spent. The Rotadent should be used with water, not toothpaste. After using the Rotadent, I brush my teeth as usual as recommended by my dentist many years ago. People need to remember that the Rotadent is a plaque removal tool, not an electric toothbrush. I use all 3 brushes since I have dental implants, bridges, and crowns. I would not go without my Rotadent. Charging has been simple. I haven’t had this unit long enough to attest to the durability but I am optimistic because it appears to be very well made.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

This technology allows for a truly personalized experience that will guide individual users on how to maximize the toothbrush.
An effective electric toothbrush contains up to six different brushing modes in order to personalize the user’s experience. In order to maximize time spent brushing, many toothbrushes contain a built-in timer that helps the user stick to the 2-minute minimum recommendation time for brushing. Some toothbrushes even notify the user at smaller time intervals to signal that they should move onto a different area of the mouth. As the purpose of buying an electric toothbrush is to maximize the brushing experience, the timer is an essential feature that enables the user to easily stick to dentist recommendations for brushing.
Easiness of Use
An electric toothbrush is meant to eliminate the work of the traditional way of brushing teeth. The electric toothbrush should be built to easily serve the user to reduce unnecessary work while brushing.
