1. Havit Laptop Cooler

The Havit Laptop Cooler is a cooling pad that is slim, portable and Universal Series Bust (USB) brand powered. Featured here are 3 fans, and the design color is researched to be black and blue in appearance. Havit Cooler is ultra-portable, lightweight, and ideal for protecting your computer anywhere because the cooler’s size renders it convenient for baggage-held carrying.

Your laptop is your investment, so buying this and carrying it dutifully is an ideal way to protect your device, anywhere, from overheating and malfunction. This cooler is ergonomically efficient and comfortable due to its 2 adjustable height settings and its nature as a laptop stand.

Regarding the 3 fans, they are guaranteed to be super quiet and undistracting while simultaneously being helpful to the longevity of your device. There is one dual USB port for connection and an extra USB port for your attachment discretion, ideal for phones.

Pros
  • Three fan modes
  • Fans are noise-free
  • Double USB
Cons
  • Cannot turn off LED light

Sample Customer Review…I use this cooling pad every day with my MSI GS65 gaming laptop. It’s powered over USB and has 3 giant fans which keep the laptop as cool as possible while gaming. The blue LED lights are a nice touch that lets you know that the mat is on and gives it an overall nice aesthetic.

There is 2 USB pass-through on the back located near the power switch which is nice because it does take up one of the USBs on your laptop. (One of the USBs is used to connect the pad to the laptop, leaving 1 for an additional device.) Pretty sure the USBs are USB 2.0.

There are kickstand legs that come out to raise it at various angles depending on your working surface. They’re very strong and not flimsy at all.

The fans are decently quiet (a lot quieter than my laptop). I can hear sound coming from my computer speakers with no issue, although if you’re going to game, I’d still recommend headphones anyways. Overall I’d recommend this cooling pad to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option.

2. Tecknet Pad

Tecknet Laptop Cooling Pad, at a glance, is beautiful in design. This pad is portable, ultra-slim, and super quiet. It can fit laptops or notebooks depending on your buying preference. Tecknet Pad has 2 Universal Series Bust (USB) brand outlets/plugs to power the fans, meaning the laptop, for optimal use, should be connected by a cable to the cooling pad. Tecknet fits any devices, laptops, or notebooks, with a cross-sectional length from 12 inches to 16 inches.

Its metal mesh surface provides excellent airflow, and its services range along but are not limited to, the following devices: laptops, notebooks, netbooks, ultrabooks, and Apple brand Macbook Pros. This splendid cooling pad deters overheating your laptop when you spend prolonged gaming or online browsing.

Within the Tecknet pad are two 110 mm fans, again powered by a USB connection, and there the pad contains an extra USB port for connecting to an extra device, such as a phone. This pad is easy to carry around, while the indicator at the rear confirms that the cooler is functional and turned on.

This cooling pad is quiet and also maintained to be ergonomic due to its efficiency and comfortable design or usage: The pad is angled to be set at an optimal position for cultivating the best, most comfortable experience. Finally, the brands that are known to use this pad efficiently include but are not limited to Apple, Hp, Alienware,e Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, and more.

Pros
  • Affordable
  • Decent cooling
  • Fancy LED lights
  • Five fan settings
Cons
  • Average build quality

Sample Customer Review…This is a well-designed cooling pad. It fits right under my 2012 MacBook Pro 13 (13.3″ display). This cooling pad measures 14 inches by 11 inches. Diagonally it’s 17.5 inches. It’s lightweight so it makes it easy to carry around with my laptop on top.

Has 2 cooling fans that I can barely hear. The fans are blue in color but they don’t light up when they’re running. There is a blue led in the back right beside the power switch that indicates if it’s on.

Connects to my MacBook via USB. This leaves one USB port available in the back of the cooling pad next to the power switch.

The bottom and sides of the cooling pad have openings that allow more air to flow into the fans. Okay to use directly on my lap since it also draws air in from the sides. My MacBook stays in place and doesn’t slip off the slightly angled surface. I am pleased with this product.

3. Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim

If there is a cooling pad lightweight enough to comfortably travel along with you, it would be the Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim. Designed to be more portable than typical cooling pads on the market, it weighs 1.5 pounds and measures 1.1 inches thick. Despite its compact size, it supports laptops of various sizes up to 17 inches. The 2-stage peg enables you to adjust its height to achieve your preferred viewing and typing angle.

Furthermore, the perforated metal mesh material assists with airflow and heat displacement. Although its slim profile does not support additional features such as an adjustable fan speed, the cooling pad performs its primary task effectively and reliably. If you are looking for a simple, affordable, and portable cooling pad, you cannot go wrong with the Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Inexpensive
  • Built-in storage for cords
  • Easy to set up and use
Cons
  • Not too quiet

Sample Customer Review…I’ve been trying to find a solid laptop cooler for a while now, and have had varying luck. This is a simple, well-built cooler on a budget. No excessive flex, USB powered with a pass-through to not take up a port, the cable is long enough to reach the most awkwardly located USB you can dream up. Stows cleanly with a cable wrap option on either side.

Not perfectly quiet, but not loud by any measure. The one big fan with a mesh grill does a great job cooling the bottom surface of a laptop on it and moving fresh air up for your intakes. Did a solid job dropping the temperature of my Razer Blade 2013.

Solid rubber feet with a comfortable inclined height option. USB power is permanently connected and seems to have been upgraded with a hard rubber cover to avoid the sharp edges some reviews mention from earlier models.

4. Kootek Pad

Kootek Laptop Cooling Pad fits 12 inches to 17 inches across sized laptops. Kootek Pad comes with quiet fans, Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights, and 2 Universal Series Bust (USB) brand 2.0 level ports. This cooling pad is adjustable and can be used as a mount for any electronic advice within the specified cross-sectional size.

Red in color, Kootek contains swirl lights that glow. The super quiet fans are noise-free and interference-free, meaning the fans do not interfere with any program that you are listening to that contains audio that could be canceled by white noise or noise from fans. There are 5 embedded fans.

The largest central fan is 5.9 inches in diameter, and the 4 smaller fans are 2.76 inches in diameter. There are 2 off/on switches controlling the fan function and the LED light function.

There are 6 adjustable height settings for this cooling pad, called ergonomic due to the structural efficiency and comfort of the multifunctional structural options for this pad. Two stoppers keep your laptop in place. This cooling pad supports but is not limited to supporting, the following laptop brands: Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Hp, Alienware, Lenovo, ASUS, and more.

Pros
  • Effective coolinng
  • Different fan modes
  • Six height settings
  • Foldable laptop stand
Cons
  • Slow fan
  • Basic design

Sample Customer Review…This cooler is impressive. It cools my laptop better than my old Lian Li cooler, even after I doubled the number of fans on that for a total of 4 x 70mm fans. Test: room temp is at 27C and I am surfing the web. Not playing games or running any intensive routines. The Kootek keeps my laptop around 41C, according to CoreTemp. As a test, I turned off both fans and my system crashed after 10 mins, hitting 50C and registering as high as 75C. The cooler does its job and does it extremely well.

5. Thermaltake Massive Panel

Thermaltake Massive 20 RGB Steel Mesh Panel is a 200 mm laptop pad, fitting laptops with a cross-sectional size from either 10 inches to 19 inches or in between. This is a laptop or notebook cooling pad fitting a wide spectrum of sizes and devices. RGB is referring to Red Blue Green lighting gradations for this steel mesh lighting frame.

The set lights and fans are easy to manage since there is a control panel for light mode (controlled by a button), color mode (controlled by a button), and fan speed (controlled by a knob).

The ventilation of the Thermaltake Massive Panel is exceptional due to the steel mesh surface integrated with a 200 mm in diameter large fan with optimal airflow and high thermal performance.

This cooling pad is ergonomically efficient and comfortable due to 3 adjustable height settings: elevations of 3 inches high, 9 inches high, and 13 inches high, for the case in which you have a low desk, a high chair, or prefer standing when using your laptop, to a lower setting desk. Thermaltake Massive Pad is specially designed for 19-inch gaming notebooks or laptops since the steel mesh surface is customized for gaming laptops along with large laptops.

Pros
  • Effective cooling
  • Nifty RGB lighting
Cons
  • Fairly expensive

Sample Customer Review…This is is an absolutely ginormous laptop cooler. It purports to be able to hold 19″ laptops. My 15″ machine looks like a toy when sitting on top of it. The fan is huge and runs very quietly. There’s a dedicated fan speed controller, which many cheaper cooling pads lack. There are two buttons to control the RGB LEDs.

The LED light show this thing puts out is complete phantasmagoria. It’s like the outside of a futuristic nightclub for laptops. Fortunately, the lights can be turned off because they might be distracting at times. Powered by USB, with a pass-through. Handy if you’re short on ports.

6. Targus Mat

Targus Lightweight Portable Chill Mat Lap contains dual fans, for ventilation, to prevent overheating. It comes with Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights, Universal Series Bust (USB) brand ports, and the mat is made for 17-inch laptops.

This mat or laptop cooling pad retains a simplistic design, black and gray in color, and the internal fans are controlled by a USB connection that can be attached to your laptop. There are dual fans, meaning 2 fans, for keeping your laptop cool.

There are 4 adjustable heights to this mat, ledges keep your laptop stabilized, and velcro straps maintain organization and stability of cords and peripheral cables. This comes with free shipping on Amazon.

Pros
  • 4 USB ports
  • Slim
  • Decent quality
Cons
  • Cannot adjust height

Sample Customer Review…This is my second Targus cooling mat for laptops; the old one is still going strong under my 15-inch laptop; this new one is under my five-month-old SSD 13 inch Dell to make it more comfortable to use on my lap.

Just like my old Targus, this new one has two silent, but pretty powerful fans that keep my laptop cool; a cooler computer is a better and happier one. The USB cord that connects to my laptop (for power to the fans) stores away in a clip on either side right under the top, between the top and bottom.

The bottom which sits on my legs is a soft cloth and makes it comfortable without getting warm. (Forecast calls for 100 and 107 degrees in a few days, so not getting warm is important if I want to sit in the cooler shade on my patio.)

The cooling pad is lightweight, and the laptop sits safely on the top without moving around when I move both the laptop and the cooling pad. Highly recommended.

7. Otimo Pad

Otimo Laptop Cooling Pad fits laptops with cross-sections from 12 inches to 17 inches. This is another extremely aesthetic laptop, featuring 5 ultra-quiet fans and also 2 Universal Series Bust (USB) powered ports to attach to a device for optimal synchronized usage of your laptop and this cooling pad,

Additionally, this stand has adjustable angles for your viewing discretion. This laptop is known for the maximum protection of your laptop from overheating. The five fans are indicated by 5 Light Emitting Diode LED lights blue in color.

The fan revolutions are 1000 + 10% of the Revolutions Per Minute (RPM). The air volume utilized by the fans is calculated to be 74.35 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). Furthermore, there are 5 adjustable height levels to this fan with an anti-slipping design. And along with the USB ports, this stand comes with a 3 foot USB brand cable.

Pros
  • Suitable for laptops 12-17″
  • Five fan settings
  • Six height adjustments
Cons
  • Basic design

Sample Customer Review…I’ve had this cooling pad for about a month now. I use this for my pretty old Dell Inspiron 14R, which has had overheating problems. The cooling pad has no problem fitting the 14″ screen, and I can see it accommodating 17 inches easily. It’s made of durable plastic and is propped up by a strong enough metal bar with 6 different heights, including the flat position.

You can adjust the position between about 15 degrees to about 40 degrees. Two small feet at the bottom can be flipped up to prevent the laptop from sliding down on higher positions. They are very sturdy and padded so as to not scratch the laptop.

The laptop sits on a strong metal mesh. Under the mesh is 4 small fans on the outer corners, and one big fan in the center. I don’t see the need for this feature, but a bright blue LED is emitted when the fan is on which looks really high-tech and awesome.

This is more than enough to keep my dinosaur laptop from overheating and slowing down. The fans run very quietly even on the highest setting (you can adjust the fan speed using a small scroll wheel in the back, which simultaneously adjusts the brightness of the LEDs).

There are two USB ports in the back of the pad. With the included cable you can get this up and running by plugging it into one of your laptop’s USB ports. The cable is more than long enough, and I had to zip tie it to a smaller length to keep things clean.

This pad is best for laptops that are old and have overheating problems, or if you want to use your laptop on your bed without suffocating the fans from the bedding. As a college student I do a lot of my homework on my bed and hated when my laptop got mad at me for putting it on top of my bedsheets. This cooling pad saved me that trouble.

8. Topmate Gaming Laptop Cooler

Topmate Gaming Laptop Cooler is a laptop cooling pad that fits laptops with cross-sectional lengths ranging from 10 inches to 15.6 inches. This pad features 5 embedded, quiet fans and a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen, a flat-paneled, optical display that uses light-regulating effects of liquid crystals and magnets to produce colorful light effects.

There are five adjustable height options designed in this cooler for your adjusting needs. And there are 2 Universal Series Bust (USB) ports along with blue Light Emitting Diode (LED) features.

There are 4 outer fans, and there is 1 very strong-featured wind-emitting, large central fan. In the inspection of Topmate Cooler’s adjustable tilting, this pad allows you to raise your viewing and typing angle of productivity to relieve strain on your neck and back.

A flippable featured hinged flap holds your laptop in place for your use when you adjust your cooler to various viewing angles that are precarious without the flap. This cooling pad displays a small LCD screen and a control panel consisting of simplistic buttons.

The screen allows you to dictate and view various wind speeds, and the buttons allow convenient mode-switching. Indeed, there are 6 wind speeds and 3 operation modes for the fans. The blue LED lights are not only aesthetically pleasing but also useful for providing light in dark environments.

Pros
  • Mesh and plastic material
  • Double USB ports
  • LCD display
  • Nonslip baffles
Cons
  • Speed can be controlled with the power button

Sample Customer Review…Love this pad so much, that I bought a second one. I have a MacBook Pro 14.25″ x 9.75″ it fits perfectly, and a MacBook Pro 12.5″ x 8.5″ the pad is slightly bigger than this one, but in my opinion not obnoxious. I love that the fans have multiple speeds, and the highest setting is still super quiet. My MacBook would usually start running really hot and the internal fans would be really loud just after a few hours of use, especially when watching movies.

With the new pad, it runs quietly all day! Another feature I love and didn’t realize was included is a second USB port. Because the pad is powered by USB it takes up an extra slot on my MacBook, so the extra slot on the back of the pad is perfect for making up for that. Of course one could also solve this problem by putting a charging block on the end of the pad’s USB cord and just plug it into a wall. But for me, it’s easier to plug into my Mac.

The pad will run off the Mac battery as well. I have not tested to see how long the Mac and pad will run just on battery power alone. Overall I think it’s a great Pad, and I am very satisfied with the two that I bought. Hope this helps someone!

9. Cooler Master NotePal X3

The Cooler Master NotePal X3 is a highly effective and trustworthy laptop cooling pad, ideal for the gamers out there. The X-shaped cooling pad supports laptops of various sizes up to 17 inches. Employing a high-performance 200mm fan, it is designed to alleviate extreme heat from searing laptops.

It is highly adaptable with its built-in controller that can adjust fan speed and light levels, and two adjustable-height modes. For your optimal comfort, a light breeze accompanies the front of the cooling pad, keeping your hands dry and cool for the entirety of your screen time.

Pros
  • Very effective
  • Extra USB port
  • Can turn off LED lights
Cons
  • LED requires substantial power

Sample Customer Review…The construction is very sturdy and it’s extremely easy to set up. There are 2 height adjustment levels, so it’s easy to find the correct setting to enable the best typing position. As far as performance goes, it does reduce the internal temperature of the computer by a significant amount, so much so that I no longer hear the fan operating at high speed.

There’s a button to turn the fan on and off, as well as a wheel to adjust the speed. There’s also a button for the blue LED lights, so they can be turned off if not to your liking.

The cooling fan is powered from a USB port on your computer. Since there’s also a port on the fan itself, you won’t end up losing any USB ports at all. The instruction guide is written in 21 languages, so this is an item that is obviously used around the world.
