How to Connect PSVR to PC

Just when you thought you needed to hook up your PSVR to a fancy device to use it, we’re here to tell you that you don’t! So, here’s how to connect PSVR to PC.

Download and Install Trinus PSVR

  1. Visit the Trinus PSVR site.
  2. Click Download Trinus PSVR.
  3. Proceed by following the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Now that you have Trinus PSVR installed on your computer, you can set up the PSVR.

Setting up the PSVR

  1. Plug an HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the PS4 on the PSVR processing unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port to the GPU of the PC. 
  3. Plug a USB cable into the PSVR processing unit (best to use a 3.0 USB cable to increase performance).
  4. Plug the other end of the 3.0 USB cable into the USB port of the PC. 
  5. Plug the PSVR headset into the processing unit. 
  6. Plug the power cable from the processing unit into the power outlet.
  7. Turn the headset on by pressing the power button, and the PC will immediately recognize the headset.

Once your PSVR is ready to be launched, now it’s time to configure it. 

Configure PSVR

  1. Click on Settings.
  2. Click on System.
  3. Click on Display.
  4. Set the headset to “Extend” the displays and set the resolution to 1920 x 1010.
  5. Go back to the main menu.
  6. Run as Administrator by right-clicking Trinus PSVR.
  7. Click Install.
  8. Click on the Main tab > PSVR Display dropdown > DISPLAY1.
  9. Click on the PSVR Mode dropdown.
  10. Click on VR.
  11. Click on Cinematic Mode (for a more movie-like scene).
  12. Click on the Assign Key, then press on any key on the keyboard to assign it to reset the PSVR view.
  13. Click on the checkbox next to Use Mouse Wheel to zoom in when you would like to.
  14. Be sure to have the PSVR on a flat surface, then click Start to begin calibrating.
  15. Go back to the main menu.
  16. Run as Administrator by right-clicking Steam.
  17. Click VR.
  18. Click Run Room Setup.
  19. Click Standing Only.
  20. Click Next.
  21. Click Calibrate Center.
  22. Click Next.
  23. Select height field.
  24. Type your height in inches or cm.
  25. Click Calibrate Floor.
  26. Click Next.
  27. Click Done.
  28. You will know if the calibrating is successful when you see the StreamVR Home appears in split view on the display.
  29. To move the window to the headset, press the Windows key + Shift + Right arrow to move the window to the headset.
