1. Ninja Specialty

Sick of struggling to make your own iced coffee? Or that over-oxygenated taste when you leave coffee in the fridge over the night in the hopes of a refreshing cup on a hot summer morning? Well, the Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker is here to make all of your dreams come true! This brewer is extremely versatile, making cups to whole pots of coffee, at whatever richness you desire. This sleek machine comes with its own fold-away frother, so while you might not be able to brew espresso, you can make your own latte-style cup of coffee!

Specifications:

  • Brand: Ninja
  • Color: Black and Stainless Steel Finish
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • 6 unique brew sizes
  • Easy to clean
  • Fold-away frother
  • Coffee stays hot for up to four hours
Cons
  • Does not make cold brew coffee
  • No warming plate

Sample Customer Review… I have been a coffee drinker for over 35 years. Never before have I had such strong feelings for a drip-brewer. Ninja absolutely nailed it with this model; they got every detail just right.

Brew Time: I usually brew a half pot at a time, which yields three large mugs. The coffee is fully ready in just a matter of minutes. But, if I can’t wait for the entire pot to finish…

Drip-Stop: Yes, many machines have them. Ninja designed one that works. I was skeptical the first time I used it, but I am a believer now. When I remove the pot mid-brew with the drip-stop on, no coffee drips from the basket. Beautiful.

Removable Basket: The basket has a flat bottom so you can rest it on the counter or scale to fill it with your favorite coffee. It comes with a gold mesh filter, but you can also use your paper filters.

Brew Temp: I have not measured it, but the coffee comes out at the perfect temperature for me.

Cleaning: Clean-up is super easy. I love that you can remove the water tank to really scrub it. The carafe has a wide mouth so you can get in there with a bottle brush. The outside of the maker is easy to wipe down with a damp rag. The coffee maker does NOT spit coffee all over the place when brewing, so don’t expect to have a mess after each pot.

Scoop: This may seem like a little thing, but I absolutely love the scoop! It attaches to the side of the coffee maker so you don’t lose it. And, it’s marked to show you exactly how much coffee to use for your desired strength. Amazing.

There are so many little details that I love about this coffee maker. Just get it.

2. Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System

Unlike the other Ninja product featured on this list, the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System can, yep, you guessed it! Produce cold brew beverages! This high-tech brewer is truly versatile, producing your standard drip brewed coffee, hot teas, lattes, and that refreshing cold brew coffee that hits the spot in that dry summer heat.

This easy-to-use device comes with a removable water container, two filter baskets (designated specifically for coffee or tea), and a fully automated system that makes brewing cafe-quality beverages simple!

Specifications:

  • Material: Plastic, Metal, Rubber
  • Brand: Ninja
  • Color: Black and Stainless Steel Finish
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • High quality coffee
  • Fast brewing
  • Easy to use
  • Attractive design
  • Makes HOT and COLD beverages
Cons
  • Pricey
  • No custom brewing

Sample Customer Review… As I’ve gotten older and more curmudgeonly, I’ve become a bit of a coffee snob, and in the last year I have tried out five different coffee makers: a Bunn K-cup machine, a Cuisinart drip coffee-maker, a Mr. Coffee drip coffee-maker, and two French presses (one glass, one insulated stainless). I have ended my search with this machine. It brews outstanding coffee, a close second only to my glass French Press, with none of the clean-up and the flexibility to brew from 1 cup to a full pot. The pot is insulated well enough to keep the coffee hot for as long as anyone with taste-buds would want it–in other words, it stays drinkable hot for a couple of hours, after which the coffee itself acquires an overcooked taste (true of any coffee kept warm for that long) that renders the beverage suitable for medicinal use only. I love the single-cup dispensing feature, which is perfect for a morning travel mug, or a cup after dinner. My only reservation about this coffee-maker has more to do with my bias against simple machinery made complex by computer technology, which in my experience, creates new opportunities for otherwise reliable appliances to break. This maker is festooned with bells and whistles that offer me all kinds of options, which is fine in the abstract unless the technology fails after a year or two when it will feel like a lot of money spent given the limited time we had together. After a month, however, I have nothing but good things to say about this unit.

Update: I’ve now made tea by the cup hot and over ice (including chai), with outstanding results. The absence of a pot-warmer is a small negative, but the thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm for 90-120 minutes, and after 90 minutes on a warmer, coffee tends to acquire a scorched taste anyway, so not a big deal.

3. Cuisinart DCC-3200 Perfect Temp Programmable

Need more than a couple cups of coffee to get you through the day? This versatile coffee maker, complete with personalized settings, can make up to 14 cups with a touch of a button, which is why it easily made its way to the top of our list for the best drip coffee makers!

For those who only want a taste of the excellent fresh-brewed coffee that this device can make, the programmable settings allow for a completely customizable brewing experience. The  Cuisinart DCC-3200 Perfect Temp 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker also includes a 24-hour timer to guarantee the irresistible aroma of that first cup before you even touch your morning alarm!

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel, Glass Carafe
  • Brand: Cuisinart
  • Capacity: 14 Cups
Pros
  • Coffee stays hot for 3 hours
  • 24 hours of pre-programmability
  • Modifiable brew strength
  • Easy to read display
  • Great value!
Cons
  • Requires cleaning due to reusable filter
  • Difficult to fill the water reservoir
  • Lack of sensors

Sample Customer Review… After having the coffee maker for a couple of days I can say, so far, that I am very happy with my purchase. The regular brew coffee setting is a little lacking in flavor for my preferences but the bold setting is perfect. I usually keep the carafe temperature on medium and it leaves the coffee hot without losing flavor for hours. The 14 cup capacity is great for my lifestyle. I love that the coffee maker has a sound indicator to let you know when it is finished brewing; however, the sound is really loud. I live in an 800 square feet apartment and it seems abrasively loud at times. Maybe with a larger living space, this would not be the case? I will mention there is a button to turn off the sound but I almost wish there was a way to make the sound indicator softer without turning it off completely. I am mostly leaving this review as no one has posted a picture of the copper unit and I wanted to give other people a reference to the actual color. Despite not being the more muted color shown in the product description, I am still very happy with the purchase and feel like the actual color of the coffee maker is much truer than a traditional “copper” color.

4. BUNN GRB Velocity 10-Cup Home Brewer

If you are the type of coffee drinker that is always on the go, this is the perfect brewer for you! The BUNN GRB Velocity Brewer, can brew you not just a pleasing cup, but an entire pot of coffee in just three short minutes!

This simple device is made for coffee drinkers that need caffeine almost as much as they need oxygen, a fresh pot available at the touch of a button, thanks to the fact that this brewer will never go cold!

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Brand: BUNN
  • Color: Black
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • Full pot of coffee in just three minutes
  • Affordable
  • Automated system that makes brewing simple
Cons
  • Coffee not always as hot as you’d like
  • Not programmable
  • No single serve options

Sample Customer Review…This machine is well made, easy to clean, easy to use. Love engineering based on simple, solid principles, such as its hot water heater, the anti-drip pourer, and the Sprayheads. The manufacturer offers 2 types of Sprayheads (the part that sprays onto the coffee grinds). If you occasionally use decaf or a mixture of caffeinated coffee grinds, get the Sprayhead for decaffeinated, as it works wonderfully for both types. The process of decaffeination causes the grinds to be more water-resistant and to need a thorough soaking from the outer edge of the funnel to thoroughly soak the grinds and the Bunn Decaf Sprayhead is as well thought as one would expect from a Bunn brand product. And the manufacturer provides it for free, but you do need to ask for it, as it comes with the standard Sprayhead for caffeinated coffee. The Sprayheads are super easy to install – easier than screwing in a lightbulb – and as easy to clean as is the entire machine. It makes a fabulous rich tasting brew. Caution: the directions are so simple and precise that one thinks they must be missing something. You are not. It is the difference between well-thought-out engineering over technical excess.

5. Technivorm 79112 KBT

Here we have one of the higher-end brewers on the market. This easy-to-use coffee-maker has an automatic drip that ensures a stress-free brew that is quick and extremely efficient!

If this device’s sleek look seems like it would better fit a cafe, you would not be wrong, this SCAA-approved brewer is of professional quality and can keep your coffee piping hot for hours.

Specifications:

  • Material: Aluminum, Stainless Steel
  • Brand: Technivorm Moccamaster
  • Color: Polished Silver
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • SCAA-approved
  • Fast brewing speed
  • Coffee stays hot for hours
  • Easy to clean
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Pricey
  • Not programmable

Sample Customer Review… For serious coffee drinkers who prefer a no-frills, high-quality brew made with appropriately hot water this is it. No timers, clocks, heating elements that scorch your coffee, or any other extraneous features. All this has is an on-off switch and a drip controller switch (which I always just keep in the middle setting anyway). This coffeemaker has served me well over the past 2+ years with only routine cleaning and a descaling every 100 brews. There is some staining developing on the inside of the carafe, but nothing major. I also appreciate that if anything does go wrong, I could order replacement parts. One consideration in deciding whether this is right for you is that it is not a compact/portable unit. It is not particularly easy to slide under your cabinets or move around when not in use. The base upon which the carafe sits easily comes unattached from the unit if you slide the machine around the counter and the cord is rather bulky. The cone that holds the coffee grounds simply sits in place, rather than being permanently attached. This is all fine if it simply sits in place on your countertop (in fact, it makes the unit easy to keep clean), but if you have a small kitchen or you wish to keep it on a shelf and only take it out occasionally, it might be worth taking into consideration.

6. Mr. Coffee 4-Cup Switch

Looking for a simple, but reliable coffee-maker? A taste and experience that you can rely on without all of the flashy extra steps and features? The Mr. Coffee 4-Cup Switch Coffeemaker is a simple device, but one that provides a taste of what you already know! This affordable coffee maker is a dependable buy that will provide you with delicious cups of coffee while taking up very minimal counter space.

Specifications:

  • Material: Plastic
  • Brand: Mr. Coffee
  • Color: Black
  • Capacity: 4 Cups
Pros
  • Compact size
  • Reusable filter
  • Affordable
  • Includes a pause feature
Cons
  • Not programmable
  • Makes small cup sizes

Sample Customer Review… This is a great little coffee maker that takes up an absolute minimum amount of space, both in terms of countertop footprint and headroom if it’s going under a cabinet. I had the Mr. Coffee with the schedule timer options but found that since I never used the timer option and all I wanted to do was press the ‘on’ button as I stumbled out of bed in the morning, it was actually too many buttons to sort through and peer closely at in a bleary morning fog, so I opted for this “Simple” brew – no mistaking what button to press no matter how out of it you might be. I’d never use the timer feature because I wake up when I’m rested, which is different times every morning – and don’t want the smell of coffee waking me up like an alarm clock. So what else is superior about this coffee maker…. the large capacity basket filter easily holds 1/2 cup of coffee grounds (4 full 1/8th scoops). Yes, I like my coffee EXTRA EXTRA strong. I also had a different 4 cup brewer which I’d gotten (like this one) due to its ultra-compact size, but it had a cone shape filter that took #2 filters – and it would only hold 3 large scoops of coffee grounds before it would overflow over the filter and get grounds in my weak coffee. I went through disappointing weak cups of coffee with Keurig and various other coffee makers until I finally landed on this little Mr. Coffee., I make a full four-cup pitcher and it’s JUST RIGHT for my morning. If anyone else wants any I’d make another brew.

7. Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer

This high-end brewer does not have precision in its name for no reason. The Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer Coffee Maker is a product dedicated to your unique brewing desires, complete with a sleek modern look that reminds you that it is truly 2021!

With the touch of just a few buttons, you can take control of the temperature, volume, and flow rate of your coffee, to guarantee your most pleasing cup.

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel, Thermal Carafe
  • Brand: Breville
  • Color: Stainless Steel
  • Capacity: 12 Cups
Pros
  • Programmability ensure unique coffee experience
  • Amazing taste
  • No mess and easy to clean!
Cons
  • Can be loud
  • For best experience, frequent cleaning is recommended

Sample Customer Review…This review is for us average folks who don’t understand all the fancy terminology some of the coffeemaker reviewers are using. I love a great cup of coffee and I’m particular about the grounds, strength, and taste. That’s about as much as I know. We had a Cuisinart thermal carafe brewer for years. It was okay, but there were some design flaws. So when we went to replace it, our first thought was design. We reviewed a lot of coffee makers. We didn’t really understand all the lavish praise about “bloom time,” temperature, etc. But in the end, we decided the self-proclaimed coffee snobs must know what they’re talking about, the Breville was within our price range, and we liked the design. First things first: This machine makes a superb cup of coffee! We were stunned! Now we are spoiled and can never go back! Also, the design of this coffee maker is perfect! The water chamber has a wide opening and you will not spill water all over the place when you fill it (yes, I’m talking to you, Cuisinart). The carafe pours perfectly; it doesn’t stick and it’s also spillproof. I now LOVE having a superb cup of coffee with NO countertop mess!

8. Hamilton Beach 2-Way Brewer

The Hamilton Beach 2-Way Brewer Coffee Maker is a machine that is all about a versatile coffee experience, whether you are taking your coffee on the go, or preparing a pot for yourself and some guests. This machine may take up more counter space than some, but it does so in the effort to brew any specific amount of coffee that you desire (up to 12 cups at least).

This product is one of the best for its value, and can schedule your morning brew for up to 24 hours in advance! All in all, if you are just looking for your standard cup (or pot) of coffee, this machine offers the most bang for your buck.

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Brand: Hamilton Beach
  • Color: Black
  • Capacity: 12 Cups
Pros
  • Versatile (single serve or carafe)
  • Affordable
  • Automatic shut off
  • Can use pods or grounds
  • Schedule your brew in advance
Cons
  • Slower than some of the other brewers
  • Does not come with reusable filter for carafe (though there is one for the single serve)

Sample Customer Review… So far so good! I received the coffee maker a few days ago and set it up in less than 5 minutes. It even came with a few paper filters for the carafe side so you don’t have to worry about having them on hand to start out. I brewed a full 12 cup carafe right away and it worked just as it said it would. No plastic taste to the coffee like other reviews have said. I programmed it so that it will brew a pot in the morning and that worked perfectly! I love waking up to fresh coffee and have the house smelling like a coffee shop! It is super easy to clean. The single-serve filter and the carafe filter container as well as the carafe are all dishwasher safe, however, I will probably wash them by hand just to be safe, I’ve read a lot of reviews about fragile carafes. With that said, my glass carafe was not damaged at all when it arrived. Amazon did a great job of packaging the product and I even received it in less time than I was supposed to. I ordered it around 3 pm and received it the next day by 11 am without paying for one-day shipping! Gotta love Amazon! Lastly, the 2 hr automatic shut-off is a wonder. I can leave the coffee on the warming plate without having to worry that I will forget to turn it off later. Overall this is a great coffee maker, I just hope it stands the test of time! Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a coffee maker with single-serve capabilities!

9. Zojirushi Fresh Brew

Want a pot of coffee to last throughout the day without getting that sour burnt taste? Well, the  Zojirushi Fresh Brew comes with its own (affordable) thermal carafe that allows you to refill on your at-home coffee breaks. This device comes complete with a removable water container and a reusable filter basket so that your brewing experience is as easy and as efficient as you need it to be.

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Brand: Zojirushi
  • Color: Stainless Steel/Black
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • Coffee stays hot for hours
  • Programmable
  • Notifies when cleaning is needed
  • Reusable filter
  • Removable water container
Cons
  • Should be unplugged after use
  • Device is rather large

Sample Customer Review… Hands down, the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. Simple and straightforward, with the easiest brewing delay timer EVER! Press “timer”, press the up or down arrows until you reach your desired time, then press start. It brews a perfect pot. It is simple and has not required. Been using this coffee maker for a couple of weeks now, really happy with it. Needed to upgrade my Keurig single-cup maker to something with a larger capacity upon moving in with the girlfriend. Have been loving a Zojirushi rice maker for a while now, so was excited when I saw they also made coffee makers. Did some research on their models (and competitors), and this one so far has none of the problems that are common on the older model. The stainless steel mesh filter is great, and the carafe keeps the coffee hot for so long. This was a huge selling point because my girlfriend wakes up 3 hours earlier than I do and it keeps us from making 2 pots every morning. Bonavita and Moccamaster coffee makers didn’t have carafes that kept coffee that hot long enough according to their reviews. Coffee doesn’t taste stale or anything being in the pot that long. Read a review on some tech websites that the Zojirushi coffee makers made bitter coffee, but I haven’t noticed that at all. Use filtered water and fresh coffee. I’m not a huge coffee snob though. Overall, very happy with the product. The first pot tasted funny but that’s probably because I hadn’t cleaned it well. The product comes with a coffee scoop to measure, missed that in the description in case you did too. Bought some Zojirushi citric acid cleaner as well to use in a couple of months. I will update you if my opinion changes anything.

10. OXO BREW 9 Cup

If you want a truly modern coffee experience, complete with an LED display and all the features you could dream of, the OXO BREW 9 Cup Coffeemaker might be the brewer for you. This easy to use device produces full bodied pots of delicious coffee while imitating the pour over process, and is SCAA-approved.

While this might be one of the more expensive models, the experience and taste are more than worthy of the price, especially if you are someone that really cares about the quality of your morning cup.

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Brand: OXO
  • Color: Silver
  • Capacity: 9 CUPS
Pros
  • Modern Design
  • Excellent taste
  • Coffee stays warm for hours
  • Brews at perfect temperature
  • SCAA-Approved
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Slower than some other models
  • Defective drip valves have been known to occur

Sample Customer Review… Makes great-tasting coffee and looks classy. I much prefer drip coffee makers over the others. I waited a while before posting my evaluation of this product so as to give a better assessment. I have received no compensation for my review. This is a simple to use, well-made product that I use every morning. I make three good-sized cups – two for now and one to reheat in the microwave for later, which still tastes just fine. I have already de-scaled this unit shortly after the indicator light illuminated. Descaling was pretty simple: I use one part distilled water to one part distilled white vinegar. I have had zero problems with this machine. When I finish using it, I always unplug it, wash the carafe and filter holder, then tip the unit upside-down over the sink to remove any residual (usually about 2 tablespoons) water from the unit to prevent mildew. This is a minor consolation to maintaining a quality product that continuously makes fresh, awesome coffee. I then use the plastic measuring spoon to prop up the water tank lid and open the other lid to rest on the tank lid. That’s my routine and I’m sticking to it 🙂 Thank you OXO for making an outstanding product that is also pleasing to the eye.

11. Bonavita BV1900TS 8-Cup One-Touch

This coffee maker is one meant for those who value the taste, the aroma, of their morning cup of coffee above all else. The Bonavita BV1900TS 8-Cup One-Touch brewer is designed in every way to enhance your coffee drink experience in every way. The pre-infusion settings allow for the coffee grounds to bloom, and mimic the pour-over method, as well as any automated brewer, could, and the “one-touch” design, allows a stress-free experience for those of us that aren’t natural-born baristas.

Specifications:

  • Material: Stainless Steel
  • Brand: Bonavita
  • Color: Stainless Steel
  • Capacity: 8 Cups
Pros
  • Showers grounds for stronger flavor
  • Easy to use
  • Modern design
  • Parts are dishwasher safe
  • Precise heating
  • SCAA-Approved
Cons
  • Carafe can be difficult
  • No automatic shut-off
  • No programmability

Sample Customer Review… Many reviews are available regarding the Bonavita 8 cup coffee brewer and the little brother 1500TS 5 cup brewer. I ordered this after some extensive research. Most important to me was the final product…. great coffee. I’m not a coffee snob by any means, but I do know what I like. For background, I like hearty roasts (French and Italian), grind my beans daily, and also have a Gaggia Classic espresso machine and a Breville bean grinder. Note that the Bonavita coffee brewer is a very basic machine. No bells, no whistles, no programming features. The machine appears to be well made, is easy to top-fill into the water reservoir on the left. The carafe is very well made and insulates nicely. There are some complaints about the separate carafe lid which contains the spout. I disagree. The lid is very well made, screws on nicely with an excellent tread pattern, and seals nicely. No leak even when the carafe is turned upside down. There is no hot plate, which is what I wanted. I hate burnt coffee! My technique is to place hot tap water in the carafe to pre-warm it, while I grind my beans. Add cold water to the reservoir, place the filter basket atop the carafe, and place it under the showerhead. Then punch the on button and ~5 min. later, the coffee is brewed. Pull off the filter basket and replace it with the pouring spout. Coffee is roughly 200°F and just as I like it. No muss, no fuss. Easy, neat, and clean-up is simple. I’ve read complaints about how the coffee maker has to be pulled out from underneath the cabinet to fill. I’ve also read how that it is PITA to remove the filter basket to place the pouring lid on the carafe. Both are steps in the process, but hardly difficult or a problem. This is a simple, quality product with one of the best heaters in the business. I highly recommend this.

This drip coffee maker can brew not only coffee beans but also pre-ground coffee. Maintaining freshness is one of the most important parts for coffee lovers, the hopper provides guaranteed freshness for your coffee beans by keeping them sealed tightly. Another great feature comes with its grinder, it can grind the beans right into the basket then rinses itself automatically after that.

Specification:

  • Material: Metal
  • Brand: Cuisinart
  • Color: Black
  • Capacity: 12 Cups
Pros
  • Large capacity
  • Adjustable automatic shut off
  • Built-in burr grinder keeps coffee fresh
  • Cleanliness is easy to maintain
  • Affordable
  • Coffee stays hot
Cons
  • Hard to use
  • Moderate of noise

Sample Customer Review… I have had this for 9 months now and I absolutely love it. I did a ton of research, read tons of reviews, and finally pulled the trigger on this one. So happy I did. This makes AMAZING coffee. Quite frankly, the best drip I have ever had. The burr grinder is key. Crushing the coffee beans instead of chopping makes a world of difference and you can definitely taste the difference in the coffee. A more aromatic, smoother, and buttery taste. It is a very high-quality coffee maker too. All the parts are very durable and seemingly long-lasting. Being that it is all-in-one makes it super convenient to make coffee in the morning when on the go (just make sure you clean at night as it can be a bit tedious to clean) If you are not sure, you won’t regret it this purchase. Highly recommended!

KRUPS Grind and Brew Auto-Start

This drip coffee maker is more than a coffee maker with a grinder, its conical burr grinder features five settings which you can customize your grind from coarse to fine. The best part is  Krups Grind and Brew Auto-Star Maker features a programable start function that allows you to set a timer to prepare your precious coffee without having to interfere your morning routine.

You can also select your brew strength from mild, medium, and strong brews according to your preference. You do not have to worry about finishing the pot before it gets cool, this coffee maker will keep your coffee warm for 2 hours before it automatically shut off. This drip coffee maker also allows you to use either coffee beans or pre-ground coffee, you can turn off the grinder and use it to brew pre-ground coffee.

Specification:

  • Material: Plastic
  • Brand: KRUPS
  • Color: Black
  • Capacity: 10 Cups
Pros
  • Five different grinding options
  • Programmable
  • 3 different brewing strength
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Durability
  • Moderate noise
  • Grinder size is not for rich coffee

Sample Customer Review… The grinder does a fantastic job just in time grind! It has a 5-second delay to start griding, which I found handy when I need to set is and walk away to get back on a phone call while I’m waiting for the coffee. The taste is the best bar none, comes with a metallic filter (handy for when you run out of the paper filters!). Another feature I like about this coffee maker is its wide water tank opening, which makes for fast and no-spill water fills. The timer function is easy to program, and you can change the coffee strength by varying the number of cups of coffee to grind vs. cups of water. For example, in my household, 6 cups of grind and 8 cups of water tastes ideal.

Additional Things to Consider While Shopping the Best Drip Coffee Makers

Buying a drip coffee maker is a big decision, this is a device that you’ll have to be happy with for at least a year or so if you want it to be worth the cost, so here are just a few helpful tidbits to make sure you bring home that perfect bundle of stainless steel (or plastic).

Size Matters (as does capacity)

First off: Coffee machines can take up a lot of space, unless you are buying a truly compact device, so make sure you investigate whether or not the machine will fit on your kitchen counter before you throw your money at it.

Secondly: If you aren’t a big coffee drinker and only like one or two cups a day, consider buying a device with a single serve option. In addition, you’ll want to make sure that one cup COUNTS, so if the device is known for quantity over quality, it’s an easy choice to make.

That being said, if you need many cups of coffee a day, and caffeine is your main motivator, look for a machine capable of producing multiple cups, and a rather large carafe.

All About That Carafe

Thermal Carafes are expensive, but they nevertheless keep your coffee hot for hours longer than their glass counterparts, and don’t acquire that same burnt taste of a pot that’s been on the warming plate too long. Then again, you might not be an all day coffee drinker and hold those two morning cups close to your heart, and if this is the case, a glass carafe should suit you just fine.

It All Comes at a Price

If you are buying a brand new coffee maker, you are already planning on spending a decent amount of money, but you don’t always have to break the bank. If you are the type of person that genuinely cares about each cup of coffee that you drink, and desire only the best quality, the price typically reflects each device’s features and functionality. But be warned, some machines will not come with reusable filters, might require pods, and you will still need to buy bags upon bags of coffee beans, so be prepared and think about what you are willing to spend.

Conclusion

If you love coffee the machine you want is almost guaranteed to be on this list, but know what you are looking for before you proceed to throw handfuls of cash at a machine you don’t even want. The Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker might be our number one pick due to its versatility, affordability, and programmability (a lot of ilities), but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily the drip brewer for you, so feel free to scroll back up and take a gander at the other options. The device you’ve been waiting for is up there, you just need to open your heart (and wallet) to find it.
