These headphones make for the perfect versatile every-day headphone.

Specifications

Pros
  • Portable format
  • Noise-Cancelling
  • Comfortable Fit
  • Lightweight and Compact
  • Included Charging Case
  • Seamless pairing with iOS devices
  • Sweat Resistant
Cons
  • Limited Customization options
  • No companion application

Sample Customer Review… The Apple AirPod Pro is an awesome set of earbuds. The noise cancellation blew me away. It was weird at first, no sound coming in! Then I played some music and the sound quality was great. Good bass response and highs were crisp. The AirPods let you allow sound from outside pass-through by pressing on the stem and holding it for a second or two. I’m telling you, you just have to experience the sound from these things. A

s far as battery life, it’s pretty good. I watched a couple of videos for about an hour and was down to about 78%. The charging case can recharge you a few times before it needs recharging. Oh, and the case can recharge wirelessly if you have a QI pad. I can even lay my case on an Apple MagSafe charger and use it to charge. The AirPod Pro fits snugly in your ear so they are great for running or whatever exercise you do.

It even comes with different size ear tips because not everyone has the same size ear canal. I was hesitant at first about the price, but once I got them, I was glad. Hope this helps you!

2. Beats Solo3 Wireless

The Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones have the longest battery life out of all wireless headphones. The battery life is 40+ hours and can be obtained from one singular charge.

These headphones are great for those who are on-the-go. They stay securely on your ears so they are perfect for running, exercising, or doing chores. The control panels are located on the left earbud. The control options include playback control, pausing, navigating songs, and answering phone calls.

They also contain a microphone that gives the option of taking phone calls without the need to touch a phone. The sound quality of these headphones is immaculate. The bass feature is also the main reason why people are so drawn to the Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 40+ Hours
Pros
  • Powerful Bass
  • Longest Battery Life
  • Utilizes W1 Bluetooth chip
  • Great sound
Cons
  • Uncomfortable after long use

Sample Customer Review… These headphones are amazing! I have a pair of AirPods as well, but they tend to fall out of my ears while I’m jogging and just become uncomfortable over time. I have really been wanting a set of classic headphones and these are perfect and rose gold. 😍

They paired with my iPhone flawlessly and came fully charged. I have yet to test out the battery life, but I trust they last a while. They have pretty good noise cancellation, I tested this by only having my TV play in the background. The sound quality is AMAZING! They get really loud turned all the way up. I’m so happy with this purchase.

3. Bose Quiet Comfort 35

The Bose Quiet Comfort 35 exceeds expectations in the noise-canceling department. They feature an optimized EQ and 20-hour battery life. Great comfort is another feature of these headphones. Although their price is on the higher side, individuals who look for good quality headphones with impressive sound will go for these.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 20 Hours
Pros
  • Optimal comfort
  • Great sound quality
  • Noise-cancelling
Cons
  • The design is not pleasing to the eye

Sample Customer Review… I’ve wanted a pair of these headphones for a long, long time, but I couldn’t convince myself to spend $350 on a pair of headphones, but now that I’ve experienced the bliss that is Bose Noise Cancelling I can’t imagine travelling anywhere without them.

The way the headphones feel when I put them on is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Again, all the other headphones I’ve bought and tried don’t even come close. The sound quality is also exceptional. I would definitely recommend these to someone who wants their own little oasis, especially people who travel a lot. If I could do it all over I would have saved myself the $200 I spent on lower quality headphones and gone straight to the Bose headphones from the beginning.

Audio Technica is known for superior audio quality in all of its products. These earphones provide sound that is incredibly accurate, and detailed. These earphones are ideal for professional use as they provide a clear and crisp sound. This pair of earphones feature quality earpads that give ultimate comfort when listening for hours at a time. These earphones also feature music controls on the earcups. Additionally, these earphones also have an integrated mic that lets users control the voice assist application on their mobile device as well as make phone calls.

Specifications

  • Professional studio Headphones
  • Touch controls
  • Accurate bass response
  • Voice assistant integration
Pros
  • 40 hours per charge
  • Superior listening quality
  • Comfortable ear pads
  • Music and microphone controls
Cons
  • Takes 7 hours to fully charge
  • Bulky for traveling

Sample Customer Review… I cannot brag enough about these headphones. I’ve been consistently using them everyday since I bought them. I use them to watch TV and play video games quietly without disturbing other people. I’m a night owl. They are super comfortable, there’s no sound leakage, and I swear the soundscape is fan-freaking-tastic. I never considered myself an audiophile before, but these headphones are on another level.

I used them with music, because I was curious, and they basically ruined all other headphones for me. And they’re comfortable enough to wear for HOURS at a time, which I’ve done watching TV and playing video games. With video games though, they’re good enough that I can pinpoint WHERE noises are coming from in games then FOLLOW THE NOISE. They’re that good, if that makes sense? Anyway, best headphones I’ve ever owned. Thousand times recommend.

  • Microphone
  • Quality sound
Cons

Sample Customer Review… I got these as a gift for my father for Christmas. He is normally very picky and I figured he would find something wrong with them almost immediately and have to return them but he loved these! He often uses them if he wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to watch TV without waking anyone else in the house up. He said connecting the, via Bluetooth to his Samsung TV was as easy as it gets so you don’t need to be very technologically advanced to be able to use them.

I have tried them to see how the sound was and they are GREAT. They cancel out all background noise and sound crisp and clear.

6. Sony WH-1000XM3

These Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones are extremely versatile and great for everyday use. They are extremely portable and include a hard storage case.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 30 Hours
Pros
  • Good for commuting, traveling, and office use
  • Incredible noise-canceling feature
  • Compatible with Amazon Alexa
  • Responsive touch controls
  • Great Battery Life
Cons
  • Expensive
  • High notes are not detailed

Sample Customer Review… After trying several other cheaper alternatives, I bit the bullet and bought a pair of these. The difference in noise canceling and sound quality compared to other models is night and day and is fantastic for this type of product. As for gaming, potential buyers should be aware that these are just stereo headphones, you’re not going to get any fancy simulated surround sound or anything like that but the sound quality is excellent.

The integrated mic works well for video chats, Skype, you name it, and I’ve yet to have anyone complain about not being able to hear me which was not the case with several other models. While I still think these are overpriced, they are very well done and are worthy of your hard-earned $$ if you choose to buy one.

7. Beats Studio

The Beats Studio headphones by Dr. Dre are wireless and received a lot of praise when first created. Although the fame of the headphones has gone away, their reliability has not. The Beats Studio headphones have a battery life of 12 hours. These headphones are easy to use and have great noise-canceling technology.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling : Yes
  • Ear Tips : Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 12 Hours
Pros
  • Noise-canceling
  • Great sound
  • Good battery life for the price
Cons
  • Not as sleek and sophisticated

Sample Customer Review… I powered them up, placed them on my head and everything around me went so quiet, so quickly, that I jumped. Walked around the house in complete silence for a moment enjoying the peace of not hearing the dishwasher running.

Turned on a mellow station and the actual sound quality is amazing, it’s pretty insane how far tech has come since my first over-ear Dre beats of the 2000s. Bass thuds and rumbles, treble is crisp, and I never had to turn it up to high volume to really feel everything. Bluetooth hooked up to all my devices in 10 minutes and switches seamlessly.

8. Beats Studio3

The Beats Studio3 headphones are great for on-the-go individuals. They are completely wireless which makes them extremely convenient for any setting. The Beats Studio3 headphones also have an extremely fast charging feature. Ten minutes of charging will get you three hours of listening while a full charge will get you 22 hours.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 22 Hours
Pros
  • Extremely convenient
  • Fast Charge
  • High quality, balanced sound
  • Uses rechargeable battery
Cons
  • The sound stage is less defined than with open design headphones

Sample Customer Review… OMG, where have these been all my life? Why did I wait so long to get some?! The noise-canceling is excellent. I’ve used these out in the yard on my lawnmower. At least I think the mower was running. I’ve used them vacuuming in the house and can’t hear the vacuum. I can wear them for hours before needing to remove them. Battery life is spectacular too.

I think they sound great, I’m no expert but I do love music, and these sound good enough to me. They’re cute (pale pink color) and nicely made. I always keep them in their case and never let my kids use them, no way. These are mine! Can’t wait to see how they perform on a 12-hour flight coming up later this year. Get you some if you’re on the fence about it, don’t think you’ll regret it.

9. Jaybird Vista

The Jaybird Vista headphones have great usability features that set them aside for other wireless headphones. The application for these headphones allows you to customize the sound to your liking. Another feature of these headphones is the quiz that will ask you questions about the sound to generate a customized EQ setting based on your hearing.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Yes
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 6 Hours
Pros
  • Customizable EQ settings within the application
  • 6+ battery life
  • Includes a charging case
Cons
  • Inability to control volume without using the phone

Sample Customer Review… The sound quality good, and can be adjusted with a phone app. Seals out the noise. Comfortable. Bluetooth connection distance excellent. I like ’em. Easy to put on and take off, they fit well in my personal ears, and the rubber ear thingies will not fall off or get lost in your pocket, both because they are so firmly attached to the earbuds themselves, and because the earbuds live in their own tiny case that houses a rechargeable battery that can top up the earbuds’ batteries.

Because the acoustic isolation is so good, you can’t hear your own voice very well when you use them to talk on the phone, so if your primary purpose is making phone calls, I wouldn’t recommend ’em. But if you want to listen to music or podcasts during sport or everyday activity, they are extremely good. Update: These work fine with just one earphone in, so if you put one in and leave the other one out, you can hear your own voice and they work very well for phone calls. Update: Nine months on, this is still kind of the best thing I ever bought.

10. Shure SRH1540

The Shure SRH1540 headphones are equipped to provide users with a great experience for listening to music at home and also recording music at the studio. They also come with extra ear pads and a hard case. Although they are not as versatile as some of the other wireless headphones, they are better-built and better-sounding.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: No
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
Pros
  • Comfortable to wear for long hours
  • Controlled bass
  • Durable
  • Long-lasting
  • Case included for storage
Cons
  • Do not fold into a compact form
  • Not ideal for sound mixing
  • Not versatile

Sample Customer Review… I bought these after a good friend who works as a recording engineer recommended them. He felt they were “just as good for consumer use as they were for professional use” and that they would be a major improvement over my QC Bose Noise Cancelling cans. Though they are a bit more expensive, he was right. I love them because they sound superior – treble and mids are clear and the bass isn’t overwhelming, just right.

I love to listen to CDs on my old Sony D-25 Discman and tapes on my Sony D-6C Walkman Professional and these headphones bring out the rich sound both formats offer. When paired with a FiiO Q1 headphone amp, the music sounds even better – especially when listening to my iPod Classic. Best of all, they are super comfy when using on long flights. From a music standpoint, I listen to a wide variety of genres: classic rock, R&B, punk/metal, hip-hop, 60’s era Jazz, 70’s era Reggae, indie rock, etc.

Overall, these headphones are well worth the price tag and really make listening to music while on the go more enjoyable.

11. Sony WF-1000XM3

The Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are portable, cable-free headphones that have noise-canceling features that are good for any area with high-volume. A charging case and different sizes of silicone and foam ear tips are included in the purchase of the Sony WF-1000XM3. Touch controls are featured on the back of the earpieces for easier access. The Sony WF-1000XM3 features a companion application that allows you to modify the sound to your liking. Overall, the Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are truly wireless and noise-canceling headphones that have a great sound quality and battery life.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Yes
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: Up to 24 Hours
Pros
  • More Portable than over-ear and on-ear headphones.
  • Great for public settings and traveling due to noise-canceling feature
  • Compact and Lightweight
  • Securely stay in ears
  • Charging case included
Cons
  • In-ear fit could be uncomfortable to some
  • Not as sweat resistant as other headphones
  • Lack of stability fins and hooks
  • Limited touch controls
  • Not good for sports

Sample Customer Review… I’ve had the opportunity to sample some of the latest True Wireless products and over-ear headphones currently on the market. Suffice to say, when I had the opportunity to review the new WF-1000MX3, I took it. The charging case featured a silky, back neoprene finish with an elegant copper lid. The texture of the black plastic finish and copper accents on the headphones was tasteful and understated. The opening of the lid was smooth, and the lights on the case indicating the charge status were quite helpful.

Putting the headphones in my ear was a piece of cake; all I had to do was insert the foam tip and slightly twist the headphones counter-clockwise until they were comfortably secure. Pairing the XM3s to my iPhone X was a simple task. But the sound; the sound blew me away immediately. After owning Apple AirPods for over half a year, as well as trying the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless and Bose headphones, I was totally shocked at how much better the sound was and how Sony could pack so many features into such a portable product.

The new noise-canceling chip completely eliminated the chatter surrounding me while the driver brought the concert to my ears! These are truly audiophile quality headphones with the ability for adjustments via the Sony Headphones Connect app. The Google Assistant integration makes these wireless earphones allow me to interact with my smart home and calendar without ever touching my phone. I cannot wait to purchase my own pair and enjoy my music, and nothing else.

12. Bowers & Wilkins PX

The Bowers & Wilkins PX headphones have numerous attributes that make these headphones extremely respected. These headphones have controls that respond to your behavior, great audio quality, and long battery life. These headphones come in two different color options: space gray and soft gold. Their sleek and sophisticated look is another reason why these headphones are extremely sought-after.

The Bowers & Wilkins PX headphones also have a noise cancellation feature with three different modes which include: flight mode, to block out engine and cabin noises during flights, city mode, which reduces the noises around you but keeps you aware of your surroundings, and also the office mode, which limits background noises but keeps you aware of your close surroundings.

Specifications

  • Noise-Canceling: Yes
  • Ear Tips: Over-Ear
  • Compatibility: All Devices
  • Battery Life: 22 Hours
Pros
  • Adaptive noise-canceling
  • Quality hardware
  • Long Battery Life
  • Great Audio Quality
  • Sleek and Sophisticated look
  • Well-defined vocals
Cons
  • Heavy on ears
  • Uncomfortable after long periods

Sample Customer Review… I’ve had these headphones for about 4 months. I wear them to commute to work every day and have used them on airplanes during 2 cross-country roundtrip flights. I have to say, prior to purchase I had serious concerns about user comfort based on prior reviews. However, after extensive use, I’m pleased to say I have experienced zero discomfort.

They don’t clamp onto your head too tightly – to the point that if you lean over to tie a shoe they might start to slip off. The top band is also comfortable and has never bothered me even during 6-hour flights. I think these are great headphones. I love that they pause the music when removed, and the ability to tweak the noise canceling to maximize sound quality (whether of the music or to reduce background noise) is great.

If you are on the fence due to comfort concerns raised in other reviews, I’m happy to say that my experience has been great and I’m pleased with my purchase.

Long battery life is essential for those who travel or who find themselves unable to charge their headphones frequently. It is best to choose a headphone that has a battery life that is best suited to the user’s lifestyle.

Noise-Cancellation

Noise cancelation can be one of the biggest factors that makes someone choose a pair of headphones over another. Noise cancellation can be incredibly essential for users who often find themselves in noisy environments. Noise cancellation can also be turned off in most headphones.
