However, I must have a high pain tolerance because I barely felt any pain. For me, it was a slight pull that was hardly noticeable and bothersome at all. A painful experience had been the main reason I’d been holding off buying an epilator probably for about a year so I’m glad I decided to take advantage of a coupon here on Amazon as well as a mail-in rebate.
As for the device itself, it worked quite well. It pulled out almost all of the hairs in several passes over the same section. The light really helps illuminate the section you’re working on and shows whether the hairs have been pulled or not. Some hairs don’t get pulled but rather trimmed. So those ones come back in about 2 weeks as opposed to 4 weeks. I did a quick re-do on both legs and took care of anything that got missed.
For me, I don’t get the smoothest legs. I’m prone to ingrown hairs and some stubble. But the hair doesn’t grow back as quickly. I get weeks’ worth of results. And I’m absolutely terrible at shaving. My skin is so sensitive and I cut myself no matter how careful I am. This gave me much better results. No cut. No more scars. Surprisingly, the next morning, less irritation.
