You are overwhelmed and keep asking yourself, “How do I connect my Bluetooth headphones to my laptop?”. You just bought a brand new pair of Bluetooth headphones, trying to stay with the times and the ever-changing technology, but the concept of Bluetooth is completely foreign. Take a deep breath and understand that it is okay not to know. Technology is amazing and has created so many transformative advancements, but no one ever said it was always easy. There are no longer physical wires connecting your headphones to your laptop. Instead, they are connected via Bluetooth. This may seem more difficult to learn, but once you understand the process, your life will become a lot easier!
How Do I Connect my Bluetooth Headphones to My Laptop? : Beforehand
Ensure both devices have been charged
Your headphones and laptop need to have some charge and be powered on to make the pairing possible! If one runs out of battery during the pairing process, it will have to be restarted once the device has been recharged.
Turn the volume up on your laptop
This ensures that you can hear the audio on your laptop after you connect your Bluetooth headphones. If the volume is too low, you may have concerns that they did not connect when they did, you just could not hear anything.
Ensure both devices are within close range of each other
Bluetooth may seem magical, but it can only work if the devices are near each other and no more than three feet apart. (Hint: You want to optimize the connection, so the Bluetooth connection is the strongest when the devices are right next to each other)
Put the Headphones in Pairing Mode
Pairing mode allows the headphones to send out a Bluetooth signal to the computer, which also has a Bluetooth signal, so they can connect. All headphones are different, but the pairing mode process should be similar for all: turn off the headphones and then hold the power button down (for roughly about 5-10 seconds) until the LED indicator starts flashing. You are now all set and ready to go!
