Sample customer review…Just bought this tent and used it for the first time camping this past week. The tent is really spacious and we were able to easily fit a queen size inflatable mattress, an XL dog bed, 2 suitcases, and a bunch of bags and still had room to move around. This worked great for 2 adults and a med-large dog plus all of our stuff. It went up in under ten minutes. The tent served us well through the week but the real test came during a late-night storm. We only had the corners staked and tied because the weather was nice but we got a surprise storm and even with the sides not tied down, the tent held up. We were able to get the sides staked and tied quickly which was great because it turned into incredibly strong winds, rain, and lighting. Not only did the tent protect us from the wind and rain, but it also stayed bone dry through everything due to the great rainfly coverage and bathtub bottom. This tent is made of very high-quality materials and we were very happy with the purchase.Read more reviews at Amazon.com
2. NTK Cherokee GT 2 to 3 Person Tent

The tent has a large mesh area at the top to help with ventilation. The bottom of the tent is waterproof and designed in a tub-like shape to avoid water getting in. This can be a great option during rainy conditions.
The NTK Cherokee tent has a 2-way zipper D-style door that gives you plenty of room to enter or exit. The door is equipped with a micro mosquito mesh that is breathable and keeps all insects out.
- Full coverage rainfly
- Dimensions: 7 x 5 ft, 3’8” center height
Sample customer review…We used this tent right when we got it for a 7-day river rafting/camping trip, and it didn’t let us down! If you want waterproof, look no more! There was no condensation on the inside of the rain tarp, and it was very easy to set up. Instructions weren’t super clear but we figured it out after 5 minutes. The ends of the poles have holes, and there are little metal rods at each corner of the tent. Stick the rods in the ends of the poles and that’s it! Two sides of the tent mesh and two sides are a solid color, so you have just enough privacy and can still see the night sky! We bought this tent for 2 people and we had ALOT of room. I’m 6’2 and I didn’t have to bend my legs when I slept. I would recommend this tent, and I think I’ll be buying NTK from now on!Read more reviews at Amazon.com

- Dimensions: 2’8 x 7’6 ft, 36” center height
- 1 person tent
Sample customer review…I bought this for my son and me to use on separate camping trips. I am 6’4″ and about 290 lbs, and when he came back, he said I might not fit. I took it anyway, and though it is small by design, I still fit just fine. I am used to bringing a tent I can stand up in, and was afraid that this might not work for me being so big. I was able to kneel just fine and change clothes. I utilized the shelter provided by the rainfly, to keep my boots and backpack dry, while outside of the tent, as this is the design, and there is no room for them in the tent. Just remember to lean your backpack against the tent, not the rainfly, so it doesn’t get wet from the dew. Now that I have gone to a small lightweight tent, I don’t know that I will go back.Read more reviews at Amazon.com
4. Bessport 2-Person Camping Tent

- Dimensions: 86.6” x 48.4”, 43.5” interior height
- Weight: 5.2 lbs
Sample customer review…If you’re looking for a decent backpacking tent, look no further. This is very lightweight and packaged much smaller than box tents. We were able to strap the tent onto our packs easily. Our friends who came hiking with us had a very similar tent from dicks sporting goods, it looked almost exactly the same except ours had more headroom, pockets on each corner, and a hammock pocket at the top of the roof. They paid a lot more for their tent so I was surprised it didn’t have these little features as well. Set up and break down is very easy, simple, and quick. I can do it alone myself if I wanted to. I was worried about the bottom of the tent tearing because of other reviews saying it was thin, but I had no issues. I used a ground tarp underneath the tent. My dog slept in the tent with us and his nails did nothing to the tent. The tent was big enough for my husband (6”~), me (5”5’), and our border collie. We were kind of close together, though, but that is not an issue for us. Another good perk is that this tent gets HOT. I was worried since it was so cold when we were camping but I almost had to keep the doors open it was so hot in there. It really keeps your body heat in. On one rainy night, it stayed perfectly dry on the inside. We love this tent and will use it every time we go camping now!Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…This tent is very easy to set up. No more than 5 minutes and it’s ready to go. You’ll honestly spend more time finding the right spot to set up and get the stuff out of the bag, than actually setting up the tent. Perfect for 1 person, with extra space, or an adult with a child. Two adults would be a bit cramped in the 2 person version. It’s packed up very small and is very light. Under or very close to 4 pounds if you’re watching weight. I use it monthly to go on campouts with my son in Boy Scouts and it handles rain, sun, wind, cold weather, whatever with no issues whatsoever.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

Sample customer review…Ordered this tent last minute for a quick weekend away, we made sure to do our research knowing that there was a big storm coming while we were camping. The reviews did not lead us astray. This tent was incredible. We only used it for 2 people but was the perfect amount of space for a full queen bed, and room for our bags, and a place to change. The lining on the bottom withstood the rain and sleeping DIRECTLY on top of the gravel. So easy to put up and take down and is ventilated perfectly for the summer weather. We were cool and dry and I wanted to spend all of our time in the tent. 10/10 would recommend to any friend.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

- Dimensions: 84” x 51”, 43” center height
- Weight: 3.8 lbs
Sample customer review…I just went on a hike in the Sam Houston National Forest and needed a lightweight tent. This one fit the bill for me. It was light, easy to assemble and I liked the fact that I could have left the rain fly off completely yet be protected from the mosquitoes which were really out in high numbers. I ended up using the rain fly because we weren’t sure about whether we would see rain and I really didn’t want to get wet. It was very easy to roll up the rain fly on both sides so that I got a nice breeze through the side windows. I made sure to only use the light when it was outside of the tent, to try and keep the mosquitoes away. I ended up inside the tent with everything all zipped up and lots of angry mosquitoes outside. I never had any inside the tent. Also, it was a very nice touch to have the ground cover included which is perfectly sized to the footprint of the tent and is very lightweight.Read more reviews at Amazon.com

The Toogh 3-4 Person Camping Tent is a dome-style pop-up tent. The hexagon style of this tent makes it extremely stable against tough weather conditions.
This tent is equipped with two t-shaped doors on either side. These doors allow for easy access on both sides so you don’t have to worry about disturbing the others. Each door has a thick mesh layer to help with ventilation and keeping bugs out.
The Toogh tent is one of the easiest and fastest tents to set up. You simply just lay it out and pull the middle up for instant installation as it just pops up.
- Dimensions: 7 x 9.4x 31.5 inches
- Weight: 8.5 lbs
Sample customer review…I have used many different types and sizes of tents. I would have to say this one is great. It is lightweight for its very generous size, this is due to the bug netting that covers the majority of the two sidewalls and back wall. This also allows plenty of airflow for those hot days. The rainfly is great as well, it covers everything it needs to and has a pole that gives a bit of an overhang at the entrance. The tent itself has just two poles that cross in the center much like a dome tent except that it is more like a cabin tent. The tent is very spacious it gives plenty of room for five or six people. It’s like a mansion for four or fewer people. It has a double pocket on either side as well as a net that suspends the top for added storage. There is also a spot to hang a light or fan from in the middle of the storage net that is not used. Like other tents, its poles and stakes have their own bags and the main bag is big enough so that when repacking the tent it fits easily. Overall it’s a great lightweight tent suitable for spring summer and fall. Probably one of my favorite tents I have had the honor of using.Read more reviews at Amazon.com
9. Coleman Hooligan Backpacking Tent
Headed on a backpacking trip with friends? Don’t forget to bring along your Coleman tent which can hold up to four people. It’s waterproof covering is also UV resistant which means you will be protected from any kind of element that threatens to ruin your trip. This long-lasting tent has a bathtub floor and sturdy walls ensuring it will never give out on you.
- Brand: Coleman
- Color: Gold
- Closure Type: Zipper
- Occupancy: Up to four people
- Material: Polyester
- Weight: 12 lbs
- Shape: Round
- Floor area: 56 sq. ft.
Sample customer review… I have two Hooligan 2s. The oldest one has been camping for about 4 weeks per summer for the last 10 years. It’s a big tent for a 2 man (8’x6′) with plenty of room for gear. It’s relatively light and very easy to set up (about 5 min.). Its best feature is its weather resistance. This tent is virtually rainproof. The first thing I look for in a tent is something that will stay dry. Nothing more miserable than living in a damp, leaky tent. The Hooligan has a waterproof, ripstop floor that goes up about 4″ all the way around the base. Even if there are 2 inches of water under the tent, you’ll never know it. The excellent rain fly extends down below the top of the floor, making water infiltration nearly impossible. Just last week I was camped in Northern Idaho where it rained for 15 hrs straight. I didn’t get a drop of water inside the tent (besides what I brought in on my shoes). If you want a tent that’ll keep you dry, is light, and easy to set up, you should give the Hooligan serious consideration. When I started looking for another tent earlier this year, I looked at dozens, but ultimately decided that another Hooligan 2 was my best bet.Read more reviews on Amazon.com
10. Weanas Professional Backpacking Tent
This roomy and versatile tent is perfect for a family camping trip. It’s quick setup and weather resistant covering are must-haves when looking for a camping tent and the UV protection it features is just an added bonus. It also has two doors that can open as well as a ventilation flap to keep the temperature inside regulated. This tent is available in multiple colors for any location or occasion.
- Brand: Weanas
- Closure type: Zipper
- Occupancy: 2, 3, or 4 people
- Fabric type: Polyester
- Seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall
Sample customer review… I have owned this tent for 3 years now and just finished preparing it for another year to come! I cannot say enough how impressed I am, this is an awesome value. This tent has held up GREAT! I have brought it on probably over 50 trips since I got it and it has always been reliable with general upkeep. I normally reapply a silicone waterproofing spray each year to ensure I stay dry even in severe weather. I have used this tent in the mountains, the beach, along rivers and streams, and in every season. I have slept comfortably through a solid 8-inch snowfall in the Smokey Mountains, and torrential rain on the coast. The tent has a lot of space, and I can store all the gear I want with me inside. The Vestibules are very hand as well, I use them to store dirty tools and my dirty boots and it keeps them dry. The hook on the ceiling is super handy too for hanging my lantern, and the pockets are useful for easy access stuff. It packs down small and light enough to be used as a backpacking tent, and I have no issues setting this tent up and tearing it down myself in a short time. It makes setting up camp when I arrive that much easier.Read more reviews on Amazon.com
