  • Design: 41 pounds
Pros
  • 1-year warranty
  • Rust resistant
  • Durable
  • Bi-fold
Cons
  • Heavy
  • Expensive

Sample Customer Review… This is a great ramp. I have a GMC Sierra 2500 HD pickup with a Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV. The ramp is long so it reduces the incline and makes it much easier & safer to get your ATV to the bed of your pickup especially in rain or snow when other ramps can be very slippery. I highly recommend this ramp over the type that is 2 separate ramps (one for each tire). The welding is a bit crude but I took a file to all of the sharp edges to quickly fix that.

2. Yutrax XL Tri-fold ATV Ramp

This ramp is designed for heavy-duty use and heavier ATVs. The ramp is equipped with heavy-duty hinges that keep the bike in the lock when going through it. Additionally, the joints of the ramps are not riveted but welded, increasing the durability greatly.

The side rails are thick enough to resist bending when loading a heavier ATV through the ramp. Grips are coated in rubber to protect the truck bed from getting scratches or damage.

Overall this ramp is for ATV owners that want a long ramp that is equipped to carry a heavier load.

Specifications

  • Warranty: 1-year warranty
  • Weight capacity: 1750 pounds
  • Safety: equipped with rubber-coated finger grips
  • Design: 30 pounds
Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Durability
  • Heavy duty
  • Tri-fold
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Grate is sharp

Sample Customer Reviews… These ramps are great. I work in agriculture scouting crops using a 4 wheeler that I haul in my extended cab 1500 Silverado pickup. I load/unload my 4-wheeler between 20-40 times on a typical day. I wanted to have a ramp that was as long as possible to reduce the angle when loading especially. These ramps fit perfectly under the 4-wheeler in my 6.5ft pickup box so I can also close the tailgate to secure the wheel inside the box. After 3 crop seasons and countless loading cycles, the ramps are still in great shape. There isn’t any bending or warping and they still fold up nicely. They are also are easy to handle and don’t weigh much. I have also loaded my 800 Polaris ranger onto trailers with these ramps and they still haven’t bent.

Pros
  • Rust resistant

Cons
  • Quality
  • Not study
  • Durability

Sample Customer Review…These ramps are awesome! They can be hitched and locked into place in about 10 or so minutes (it may take more time the first few times, just because you have to get the feel for how much to adjust and tighten the belts) and are really sturdy!! We used these to load our heavy, 60+ lbs. electric trikes (tricycles!) and bikes into our GMC truck bed. They were the perfect thing to easily load and unload such heavy objects. As long as you have wheels that can carry your load up and down the ramps, these will do the job of keeping the objects in place. They’re better than one long ramp because you can bring them closer together or move them farther apart depending on the wheels of your carrying cart. Also, Great Seller! Item as described, timely delivery, would highly recommend buying from them.

  • Safety: equipped with rubber-coated finger grips
  • Design: 60 pounds
Pros
  • Rubbered coated finger grips for security
  • Strong build
  • Foldable
  • 1-year warranty
  • Tri-fold wide design
Cons
  • Short length
  • Very heavy

Sample Customer Reviews… Two-fold purchase. For one, I bought to use mainly with our 7′ X 14′ (interior) ‘Big Tex’ Low Profile dump trailer to be able to shuffle wheelbarrow loads into this trailer. Secondly, & more pressing, I needed a way to get the 2020 Can-Am Ryker Rally into this trailer after I purchased the Ryker in Topeka Kansas. Coupled with the fact I can easily adjust the back of this trailer’s height by using the hydraulic dump feature, the Ryker easily loaded into the trailer along with this ramp. I should mention the Big Tex trailer came standard with a pair of heavy-duty ramps yet these ramps are built/meant to load heavy equipment like a skid loader. The tri-fold ramp I’m reviewing here is wide enough to drive the three-wheeled trike up and down with ease, something impossible to do with two single-wheel width ramps. I’m sure I’ll find other uses for this ramp such as loading items into the back of my F-150 and F-250 Ford pick ’em up trucks.

Sample Customer Reviews… Needed some truck ramps for various rental machines. Saw other similar products for $30-$40 less that reviews said had “sharp edges” and photos of bent metal on the ramp rungs. Guys, this is one of the purchases I don’t regret spending a bit more for a quality product, with a great sanded, powder-coated black finish, and likely a more accurate weight limit placard. I wouldn’t trust my $$$$ tractor and other equipment to a cheap ramp, period. Very happy with these.

Things to Consider Before Buying

Types of ATV Ramps

The Dual-Runner is the most common design for the ramp, it is the best two or four-wheel bike. Setting up two individual ramps makes it easy to get the positioning right. Some of the ramps fold in half, while most of the ramps are a straight design that does not have folding joints or extra weight.

Bi-fold ATV ramps are narrow compared to typical tri-fold and dual-runner setups. While folded, these ramps have a profile that is similar to a single-runner ramp. Unfolded, the width of the ramp is designed to fit most ATVs and bikes.

Tri-fold ramp offers the entire width of the ATV with a few inches of extra room on either side for extra safety. These ramps are easier to set up due to their wide design, alternatively this makes them much harder to move around once set up. They are equipped with more folding joints and segments which makes them heavier than most dual-runner ramps.

ATV Ramp Pricing

Straight ramps are the most common for under $50 Without the folding joints, these ramps are constructed with less material which makes them significantly lighter.

The most common ramps from $100-$200 are the dual-runner and bi-fold ramps. They are constructed of higher quality materials and have higher weight capacities than most budget models.

At $200 and above most ramps are larger bi-fold or tri-fold ramps. They are best used for jobs that require a higher capacity ramp

Key Features

Weight Capacity

The most important feature related to ramps is weight capacity. Heavyweight capacities are necessary for larger equipment, but on average, almost all ramps can handle average ATVs or bikes.

Ramp Width

The amount of surface area will dictate how much grip the tires have when loading your ATV. Wider ramps offer more surface area which gives bikes greater stability and grip.

Mount Connection

To mount the ramp, stability straps are used in tandem with the ramp grips to keep the ramp secure while loading. Most ramps use ledge supports that click onto the tailgate or trailer floor to create extra grip. Other ramps, instead use mounting brackets that screw into the bed of the vehicle to provide extra support.

Ground Clearance

In order for the ramps to work properly, they need to reach the height of the loading surface. The slope of the ramp is influenced by the height of the loading vehicle and the length of the ramp. This means that lower slope angle ramps are safer, making longer ramps more popular for general use.

Storage Size

When the loading ramps aren’t in use you want to consider storage size. Folding ramps are better for storage, but you can easily store straight ramps with the right setup.

Rung Type

The rung surface of the ramp affects overall loading traction. Many ramps use a ladder design with solid rugs. These are great for weight and portability, this design makes it difficult to load heavier equipment due to the larger holes. Other ramps use a solid surface with smaller holes that provide an excellent surface for traction.

Conclusion

Choosing the perfect ramp can be a hassle, with the many different price points and features it can be overwhelming. That is why we wanted to make it easier to make an educated purchase when it comes to buying ATV ramps. Loading an ATV or any other vehicle can be a dangerous job, which is why we want to make sure you have the best ATV ramps to be able to do it safely.
