1. Beats Solo Pro

[amazon box=”B07YVYNM3N” description=” ” rating=”4.7″]

The Beats Solo Pro wireless headphones have both an Active Noise Cancelling mode and Transparency, both canceling out distracting noise but making you stay awake at the same time. They are compact, with a fold to turn off the feature, and also have a 10 minute fast charge time for up to 3 hours of playtime. Finally, they’re ergonomically designed for comfort and have a stylish and sleek look.

Specifications

  • Active Noise Cancellation
  • Apple H1 Chip
  • 40-hour battery life with ANC off
  • 22-hour battery life
  • 9.4 oz
  • Lithium-ion battery

Sample Customer Review… Seamless pairing with an iPhone (like Airpods) and really decent noise cancellation (compared to Airpods Pro noise cancellation is much stronger). But these headphones are very uncomfortable. They cause pain in the ears if you wear them too long. Also, they are surprisingly quiet, and I have to crank the volume to 80-90% to reach enjoyable loudness (the same AirPod Pros seem to be equally loud and have a better volume curve).

Overall, I expected an update in the sound quality department, but Airprod Pros sound as good, if not better, despite being so tiny. And they are so much more comfortable. For everyday use and gym, I would go with Airpod Pors for sure. I wish I could return these Beats, but a month has passed, so whatever.

[Update]
After using Solos for several weeks, you get used to the clamping force. Regarding sound quality, I take my words back. They do sound better than AirPod Pros. After spending some time with Solo, I cannot use AirPod Pros for anything but podcasts and YouTube. It takes some time to appreciate the SQ, but once you do, there’s no going back to AirPods.

The Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones also have amazing sound quality with Pure ANC to block out noises.

Specifications

  • 40-hour battery life
  • 22-hour battery life with noise-canceling
  • Apple W1 Chip
  • Active Noise Cancelling
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Class 1 Wireless Bluetooth

Sample Customer Review… I absolutely love my (BEATS STUDIO ³) they have a good quality weight and thickness, they do not cancel out noise 100% but enough, the sound is superb in my opinion no complaints! I use them daily, putting them on in the morning, and do not take them off until I go to sleep at night. The fast charge wire keeping them charged is not a problem; I just do it at night time. Once you set the Bluetooth up, it is super easy to change between devices as I do between two phones and two tablets. Also, this is noteworthy.

Three of those devices are Androids. One phone is an iPhone. Doesn’t cause any issues. The button to turn them on and off is easy enough to switch them off while wearing them or on. The earpads are very comfortable, obviously wearing them all day. I use them for audiobooks, movie engines, music, audio phone calls, video phone calls, zoom meetings, all things! I love them.

Specifications

  • Apple H1 Chip
  • 9 hours of battery life (24 with charging case)
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • 0.63 oz
  • Class 1 Wireless Bluetooth
  • Water resistant

Sample Customer Review… First off, SUPER comfortable and secure. I’ve only been able to use Earhook headphones for ANYTHING, even walking as normal Earphones fall out, and in-ear headphones will fall out eventually due to sweat and jaw movement. These things are awesome cause they don’t penetrate the ear canal rather they sit and seal right outside the canal.

The sounds are good for your avg listener, but the base does not wow me. As most reviews have pointed out, it is punchy, but I don’t care for it cause it just sounds good as my Anker Soundcore Spirit X, maybe a tad punchier. Back to the fit. It is good for big-eared people like me. I’ve switched to the smallest silicone fitting because it doesn’t seal my ear canal, so I can hear everything going on around me while also enjoying the headphones.

I know that defeats the purpose of the seal, but it’s an option if you’re out in public and need to know what’s going on around you. I love the auto-off when removing from your ear. Not looking back on this purchase, it’s the best earphones I’ve ever used, as expensive as it was.

Specifications

  • Apple W1 Chip
  • 40 hour battery life
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Class 1 Wireless Bluetooth
  • Noise isolation
  • 7.6 oz

Sample Customer Review… Excellent quality headphones! A lot better than I thought they would be! They do fit kind of snug on my ears, so I have to take them off after a while to give my ears a break from the pressure of the headphones. But overall, I have no complaints! They came in about a week after I ordered them. They come with the instruction manual, headphone bag, keychain clip, USB charging cord, and the removable headphone AUX.

They definitely are noise canceling. I’m on dialysis, and the dialysis machines beep really loud. I bought these headphones to help cancel out that noise, and they work great! The battery really is long-lasting. I usually listen to music with them for four hours, three days a week, while in dialysis. I still haven’t had to charge them yet, and I’ve had them for two weeks now! Outstanding EQ quality! I would definitely recommend purchasing these!

5. Beats EP

[amazon box=”B01LX8OJMT” description=” ” rating=”4.6″]

The Beats EP headphones have a great tuned sound and offer unlimited playtime being battery-free– no need to worry about charging your headphones! These headphones are also durable and stylish with lightweight stainless steel and a durable frame. The Beats EP is good for someone who wants an introduction to Beats headphones.

Specifications

  • Noise isolation
  • Apple H1 Chip
  • 1.45 pounds
  • Wired

Sample Customer Review… These headphones are absolutely perfect! I bought them and was a little skeptical because of the reasonable price of $130, especially since most Beats by Dre headphones are pretty overpriced just because of the brand. When I tried these, I was shocked at the quality. First of all, they’re bendable (stretchy headband).

They’re comfortable, have a nice design, have the iPhone remote, works with Apple obviously and even Android phones, and finally have the sound quality to match the brand name! The bass is still strong but not overwhelming, and the treble and clarity are much improved, and the headphones sound FAR better than the older Beats. They sound good with every genre of music, especially rock, pop, and rap.

And they cancel noise better than most earphones even though they’re not actually noised canceling. The problem is that they don’t fold, and the cable isn’t removable, which is fine considering how good they sound overall.

Pros: Excellent sound quality and durability with strong bass, a reasonable price, and beautiful design
Cons: They can’t fold, and the flimsy-looking cable is non-removable

These headphones are the best I’ve ever tried, and with much clearer sound, the sound rivals Klipsch and even Sennheiser now. If you’re looking for an affordable pair of Beats headphones, I suggest trying these. You’ll probably love them too!

Specifications

Sample Customer Review… I ordered these headphones, and they came in early and extremely fast! I ordered before reading the reviews, and when I read the reviews, I was disappointed as many complaints and people were saying they were fake and such. I’m not sure if they are fake or not, but either way, you wouldn’t be able to tell unless you truly knew what to look for and they’re nice headphones. I like them even better than apple headphones!

They came in good packaging. They have good audio quality. They are extremely loud if you turn them all the way up. They’re headphones, they look and sound wonderful and are overall just a good pair of headphones. Definitely, my new favorite amazon purchase & I absolutely recommend it! Plus, they’re cheaper than the non-refurbished ones and are just as good.

Specifications

  • Water-resistant

Sample Customer Review… As expected from Beats, most excellent sound for its size & comes with different size inserts. Seals well to ear. I work outside in Florida as a heavy equipment mechanic. Constantly in all weather conditions. Thought many many times I’ve ruined them while working, but they won’t quit. They’re a couple of years old at this point. They won’t die & still the best audio quality of any headset I’ve ever bought. I’ve owned 3 pairs of them. Only had one pair fail inside of 1-year warranty & was replaced At no cost. I’ll continue to buy these till they stop making them.

8. Beats Flex

[amazon box=”B08L6ZPV7T” description=” ” rating=”4.4″]

The Beats Flex is a wireless earbud design with a neckband design to sit comfortably around your shoulders for users looking to have improved support for their ears and extra assurance if they are displaced from the ears. The sleek, light design comes in many colors and synergizes well with IOS and Android devices to allow for a listening experience that can last for up to 12 hours. Although there is no noise-canceling technology within these headphones, as long as users have the perfect seal, they will experience audio quality comparable to other noise-canceling headphones.

Specifications

  • In-line remote and Mic
  • OS support for Android andiOS
  • Bluetooth Support
  • 12-hour battery life
  • Apple’s W1 chip

Sample Customer Review… I Found these BeatsX headphones by accident, and I’m really glad I did. The package arrived quickly, with the original box inside. Although the box was a little dented, I’ll chalk that up to the shipping process and not really the seller.

Headphones have a bit of a charge left, so I powered them on, and they paired immediately with my iPhone. Plugging them in using the included USB-to-Lightning cable was just like charging my phone and was fully charged in about 10 minutes.

They installed earbud covers on the headphones, and the box came with three pairs of different sizes. Also included in the box was the original paperwork, instruction manual, and Beats sticker. Very pleased so far. I will update if anything bad happens.

9. Beats X By Dre

[amazon box=”B075SZZDK4″ description=” ” rating=”4.0″]

The Beats X comes with a more durable design that provides the wired portion of the headphones with more traditional cables connecting both earbuds that trail around the neck. Since they have a lightweight design with a magnet connecting both earpieces when not in use, they are some of the best Beats headphones for comfortability and effectiveness.

When it comes to the sound quality, the frequency comes full of base and energy, although the headphones have difficulty in the midrange frequency, making some sounds abrasive at higher volumes. The Beats X comes with the added benefit of having a quick charge feature. With only five minutes of charge, this feature allows you to play two hours of playback. These headphones last for up to eight hours even with a full charge, making for quick and effective charging capabilities.

Specifications

  • In-line remote and Mic
  • OS support for Android andiOS
  • Bluetooth Support
  • 8-hour battery life
  • Apple’s W1 chip

Sample Customer Review… I was apprehensive about the microphone being on my neck, but I’m told they can hear me clearly after several test calls with friends and family. I can talk on a busy street or in the car with my windows down, and my voice comes across clear with low background noise.

The audio quality is not on par with the $100+ category of headphones, but it certainly isn’t poor quality.

These headphones are considerably lighter and more comfortable than BeatsX. The sound is less bass-heavy than the Beat X, but I don’t get sound fatigue from using or wearing them. I also use these for Zoom calls at work, and they’re great.

The added function of pausing music when the headphones are magnetized together is brilliant. The functions for pausing music, using Siri, and answering calls are user-friendly.

Overall, these are a great improvement over the BeatsX, which I still have and have used every day for two years.

10. BeatsX

[amazon box=”B06Y2D5M31″ description=” ” rating=”3.9″]

The BeatsX wireless headphones are a sleek and light design, being the perfect wireless headphones if you want something compact and good for traveling. With an instant setup, you can just hold them to an Apple product and turn them on for an instant connection. The headphones have Apple W1 Chip, which gives you 5 minute Fast Fuel charging, great battery life, and fast switching between Apple devices.

Specifications

  • Up to 8-hour battery life
  • Apple W1 Chip
  • 5.9 oz
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Noise isolation
  • Bluetooth

Sample Customer Review… These are the best UX you can experience today with a wireless headset on Apple devices. The Bluetooth connectivity is amazing, and the connection to my Apple devices is perfect; not as good as other devices (it bluescreens my Lenovo X1 when I connect these via Bluetooth!)

The audio quality is just so-so. Far better than the standard white earbuds apple gives you; not as good as Shure SE210s, but with more bass response. HOWEVER — I did NOT particularly find the audio quality very good until I replaced the stock rubber ear tips with Comply foam ear tips. This made a HUGE difference, adding back the bass and low-frequency sound missing with the stock tips.

I find these passably comfortable, especially for long (1-2 hour) walks. The Comply ear tips block out most sound so that I can walk down a busy NYC street, and only the sound of huge diesel trucks downshifting can penetrate. It’s just me and my music, at a pretty low volume (30-50%), and I’m walking in silent bliss.

Buying Guide: Things to Consider Before Purchasing Beats Headphones

If you’re thinking about getting your first pair of Beats headphones, or if you’re a Beats headphones fanatic and are looking for your next pair, there are some things you should think about before making your purchase. While the brand makes great, award-winning headphones, they all offer different things at different price points, so it’s important to know what you really want in a Beats pair of headphones. This buying guide will look at the Apple W1 and H1 Chip, wired vs. wireless headphones, price, and comfort.

Apple W1 Chip Vs. H1

Within many of the Beats’ headphones are either the Apple W1 Chip or the Apple H1 Chip. These chips are designed by Apple and are also in the Apple Airpods, and they do a number of things. To begin, they help you to connect faster to your Apple devices and with less hassle.

They also help with longer battery life and search for nearby devices that also have a W1 chip, auto-detecting your phone. The W1 and H1 chip are basically the same, but the H1 chip is the newer model, with a better battery, longer talk-time, and the “Hey Siri” option. One thing to note is that neither the W1 chip nor the H1 chip is compatible with Android devices.

Wired vs. Wireless

Something else to think about is if you want wired or wireless headphones. The positive of having wireless Beats headphones is that you get their signature W1 or H1 chip, which is the main feature of the wireless headphones. However, wired headphones are also a great option, because you can listen to your music as long as you want without charging them. Many of the different Beats headphones also have different levels of battery life, with some having 9 hours and some having up to 40. It’s up to you if you want something that is wireless and hassle-free or doesn’t need to be charged.

Price

Since Beats are known for their high-quality sound and durability, some of their headphones might be a little pricier than others. For example, the Beats Studio 3 wireless headphones are $289 on Amazon, while the Beats EP is $99.95 on Amazon. Both are great headphones but offer different things. If you are fine with having a wired pair, the Beats EP might be a better fit for you, especially if you want a better price.

Comfort

Finally, comfort is something to keep in mind. A lot of the Beats headphones claim to be made with comfortable materials, and their on-ear headphones are especially comfortable, made with cushion ear cups. A lot of their in-ear headphones are made with an ergonomic fit, making them fit better than their competition, and making them good for working out.

Conclusion

Beats have a lot of different headphones options, which is why it’s important to break down exactly what you’re looking for before you make a purchase. This Top 8 list of the best beats headphones and buying guide hopefully gave you more information about Beats headphones and why they’re so special. We hope that this has eased your mind just a little!
