1. Plantronics Voyager 5200 UC

The Plantronics Voyager operates up to 98 feet range from the device and is designed as behind the ear and earbud. The earbuds come in different sizes of silicone to be worn at your preference. The noise-canceling headset provides nano-coating for protection from moisture for those more intense calls.

The price is still high for no other features but a lot lower in price than other products that have a higher range and more added features. This headset is perfect if you are just looking for a slightly longer than average range with no other features to worry about or keep up with.

This design is also a bit different from the other products on the list because of the earbud so it’s important to note that for comfortability if that is your preference. Lastly, this is another product that has been known for great sound quality and noise cancellation so I would recommend this product for those who are just looking for the basics of a long-range headset and not interested in other features.

Specifications

  • Range: 98 feet
  • Wireless, Bluetooth, USB
  • Compatible with PC, Mac, mobile phone
  • Noise cancelation
Pros
  • Great Noise Cancelation
  • Average Battery Life
  • Great Sound Quality
Cons
  • Connection issues

Sample Customer Review… Really happy so far with this headset for work-from-home. A few things not often mentioned: The buttons on the headset are intuitive and uncomplicated. A single button for mute. Separate buttons for volume up and down. Open and close the phone line button is separate. Switches to the right or left ear. The USB plug into your laptop or computer works well with Microsoft Teams.

You can unmute/mute on the application or the headset and it stays synced. The headset also gives verbal updates when you mute and that you are still muted, which I love. Of course, the Bluetooth is great so I can get up and walk around and the charging station works well and can be in the case or in the slot upright.

I also really like its overall low profile. It is small, hugs nicely to the ear, and if I have a different background on Teams selected it doesn’t mess that view up. The sound quality is very good so far.

2. Bose SoundLink II

The Bose SoundLink is over-the-ear headphones rather than a headset like the majority of the products on the list. This product still has a microphone to deliver HD voice and improved EQ for deep and immersive sound. These headphones have up to 15 hours of playtime with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

You can stay connected within a range of 30 feet. I would not recommend this for an office unless you don’t mind using headphones rather than a headset. This product is included on the list because even though the range is about average it still connects within that range while other products say they have a longer range but still have issues staying connected.

This brand is also reputable for the quality of sound that it offers and the battery life is impressive for a class 1 range. Unfortunately, there are a lot of reviews that the material of the products be improved because there have been issues with the durability of this product. I would recommend this product for those looking for more intense sound quality and longer battery life but the range is about average so if you are looking for something longer other products can meet your needs.

Specifications

  • Range: 30 feet
  • Connectivity: Wireless, Bluetooth
  • Battery life: 15 hours
Pros
  • Impressive battery life
  • Decent Quality Sound
Cons
  • Materials are not durable

Sample Customer Review… Love everything about this headset. Its light build doesn’t burden your head, the earmuff parts are nice and big, battery life is incredibly long…and the sound quality? Wow, I’ve never heard such rich bass and voice tones in music and movies (only ever hear this in movie theaters and those are practically permanently closed now). The case is also very neat and compact to carry in a backpack or purse without much space being taken up.

3. Jabra Engage 65 Stereo Wireless Headset System

The Jabra Engage 65 also has the do not disturb feature and a noise-canceling microphone so all calls are crystal clear with minimized interruptions. Your calls can stay connected up to 490 feet while still maintaining quality sound. The intuitive controls on the headset allow you to control the volume, mute, and answer/end calls while being away from your desk.

This product features high levels of hearing protection for heavy users to be comfortable with their headsets throughout the workday. The battery life is up to 13 hours for those long shifts at work and still enough battery for the next morning.

If you forget to charge then just 30 minutes charges your headset up to 40% and 90 minutes is a full charge. You can go on your lunch break and be back with a fully charged headset. This product is great for those looking for a fast charging headset for your fast-paced work environment. As well as easy access to the controls on the headset when you are taking advantage of the long-range.

This is another Jabra product as their products have come highly recommended and if there is something you like about this product but still some dislikes I have included other Jabra products on the list.

Specifications

  • Range: 490 feet
  • Battery life: 13 hours
  • Wireless
Pros
  • Easy and Efficient
  • Great Battery Life
  • Great Sound Quality
Cons
  • Quality Material could be improved

Sample Customer Review… This product is great. It’s light and comfortable with a crystal clear connection. Able to connect to pretty much anything, computer, cell, softphone. Battery life easily lasts all day and has deep configurations. Able to even use a custom ringtone, and different rings for different sources. Noise-canceling works great, LEDs light up on the headset when in use so ppl know not to bother you.

The only thing that would make this better is when it goes into power nap mode, the display should completely turn off, which it doesn’t now, it’s always on. Other than that, it’s been working flawlessly. If you’re working from home, this is a great option rather than a speakerphone

4. Sennheiser HD 4.40

The Sennheiser weighs about 6.88 ounces with a range of 33 feet. The Sennheiser has 25 hours of battery life and the earcups are mounted with controls that can be used for making phone calls with the integrated microphone. The Bluetooth 4.0 delivers wireless sound quality. This range is about average for Bluetooth headphones and has pretty good battery life. This is perfect if you are away from your phone but still in the same room or general area.

The controls on the headphones allow for easy access when you are not in the range of your device. The Sennheiser is pretty lightweight and has a comfortable material for earcups. Compared to other average ranges this product is a bit expensive but the money is catered towards the battery life and audio.

This product isn’t styled as a headset it covers both ears as headphones. It does include a microphone but depending if you plan to use this for work the headsets would work best.

On the other hand, if you are not looking for work this product is lightweight and delivers excellent audio. This brand is widely known and therefore on the list a few times so if you are seeing some likes and dislikes with this product there are other Sennheiser products on the list.

Specifications

  • 7.1 x 3.9 x 10.2 inches
  • Battery life: 25 hours
  • Battery type: Li ion polymer battery
  • Compatible with most smart phones and tablets
Pros
  • Excellent audio
  • Amazing Battery Life
  • Light Weight
Cons
  • Average Range
  • Expensive for average range(if you are planning for a longer range)
  • Every time the controls are used it is followed by a beep sound

Sample Customer Review… I love these. I’ve had them for a year and wear them every day at work. The earpads are really comfortable, and for me, completely surround my ear, so there are no pressure points. The sound quality is great with an excellent Bluetooth connection even to my 4-year-old devices.

The connection is pretty good even though a couple of walls, though the copy machine does play havoc with reception if I’m standing next to it and my device is in the other room. After a year, they still hold a charge for probably 18-20 hours of use, and even though they’re not technically sound canceling, most of the noise is passively blocked out.

5. Jabra Engage 75 Mono Wireless Headset System

The Jabra Engage is up to 490 feet with an advanced noise-canceling microphone for clear communication in a fast-paced environment. While away from the device you can also let colleagues know that you are on a call by the do not disturb button that shows a red light for everyone to see so that your call is not interrupted.

The battery allows up to 13 hours of talk time with fast charging of 40% battery in 30 minutes charging and 100% full battery at just 90 minutes. Jabra Engage also includes enhanced hearing protection for heavy users to still call comfortably.

The headset also included intuitive controls to easily answer/end calls as well as mute or control the volume all while you are on the go. Lastly, it allows a connection of up to 5 devices for any meetings. If you were not a fan of the Jabra PRO the Jabra Engage has different improved aspects as the battery life is longer and faster. If you were concerned about the sound quality for the Jabra PRO the Engage is recommended for better sound quality.

Specifications

  • Range: 490 feet
  • Wireless, Bluetooth, DECT
  • Battery life: 13 hours
Pros
  • Great sound quality
  • Longer and Faster Battery Life
Cons
  • The mute button turns off every time the headset reconnects

Sample Customer Review… Very intuitive setup. Connects to my mobile phone as well as my computer without any trouble. I use Skype Business at work and it works perfectly. Having the red light on the earpiece as well as by the speaker is a plus to let others know when I’m on the phone. The mute button is by the speaker, so even though is very convenient to press, having it close to the mic might bring a bit of attention just before muting if you are not careful and rub your finger accidentally over the mic.

The distance is great. I can be on a call and walk all the way around my office without any cutting out. The battery life is good too. I’ve used it for Bluetooth for my phone and listening to music is very nice, and the sound is great! Having the double earpiece is very nice. Highly recommend this headset.

6. Jabra Elite Active 75t

The Jabra Elite Active 75t are truly wireless headphones that offer a comfortable, active fit, and well-balanced sound. These headphones have a 30ft range and are great for active users as they are sweat and waterproof. They have great call quality as well, with 4 microphones. These headphones are compatible with Siri, Alexa, and Google for convenience, and have 24-hour battery life.

Specifications

  • 0.8 x 0.7 x 0.6 inches
  • 0.2 ounces
  • Waterproof
  • Noise Cancelation
Pros
  • Battery life
  • Sound quality
  • Microphone quality
  • Noise cancelation
Cons
  • Can get too loud on highest volume level

Sample Customer Review… The sound is great. With the Jabra Sound+ app, you can customize or fine-tune your sound preferences with the customizable equalizer or go with the available multiple preset options. Music, podcast, and call quality have all been above satisfactory. These earbuds fit my ears so much better than others that they have become my default choice.

7. Sennheiser SDW 5066

This is another Sennheiser Product due to its reputable brand name. The Sennheiser SDW 5066 has a two-microphone noise-canceling system with triple connectivity to your PC, desk, and mobile. The design is a headset with both earpads for more comfort throughout the day. There is an improvement in sound clarity with the wideband mode with up to 590ft of connectivity.

The talk time is up to 14 hours and has a fast-charging battery with 50% charged in only 30 minutes. The wideband delivers a crisp and natural sound for the professional work environment. The enhanced security includes protective pairing and DECT certification so all conversations are confidential.

This product is good for busy workplaces that often do business over the phone. This product is known for its excellent noise-canceling and works within the range it says. This is also another good product for someone who moves from floor to floor or just often away from their device. I would recommend this product to those who not only do business on the phone but find themselves in a fast-paced work environment where the longer and faster charging battery life comes in handy.

Specifications

  • Range: 590 feet
  • Battery life: 14 hours
  • Wireless, Bluetooth, DECT, Wired
Pros
  • Excellent noise canceling
  • Great Range
Cons
  • Not Durable

Sample Customer Review… Comfy ear pads. It cuts the noise spikes and levels out volume changes from VoIP pops and when put on hold. My ears don’t hurt at the end of a long day on the phone. It also seamlessly switches between my music on my cell phone and incoming/outgoing calls on my iPhone 8 & desk Yealink T48G. I use the Yealink EHS36 adapter so I don’t have to have the handset lifter. What a great headset! It’s worth every penny.

8. Sony MDR-DS6500

The Sony MDR gives a cinematic sound experience with its larger 40 mm drivers providing a wide dynamic frequency range. The 7.1ch gives surround and 3-D sound with a frequency response of 12-22,000 Hz. This product offers 20 hours of battery life with the experience of 7 speakers up to a 328-foot range. The non-compressed 2.4 GHz/rf digital transmission gives a high-quality sound at all times even at its long range. This product is great for those looking to enjoy sound quality at a longer range at an above-average level.

All these factors deliver a better crisp sound quality but unfortunately, these products do not have a microphone or styled as a headset it is more catered to long-range and sound quality as all the features devoted to the quality. If you are looking for a wireless long-range headset for an in the office environment there are still other products on the list with great sound quality and range.

Specifications

  • 40mm drivers
  • Frequency: 12-22KHz
  • 7.1ch digital surround sound
Pros
  • More work is put in for better sound quality which is noticeable
  • Above-average range
Cons
  • Does not include a microphone
  • Not long-lasting

Sample Customer Review… I purchased this months ago and after using it for the past few months I have no complaints. The sound quality is great and the signal strength is very good. I’m about 15-20ft away and there is no interference and it does not cut out. There is a wifi router a few feet away, Xbox ones and there is no signal conflict. It’s awesome quality and it works for all your peripherals if you connect it directly to your stereo receiver as I did thus allowing you to listen to all your home audio components. Great purchase

9. Sennheiser SDW 5015

Now the Sennheiser SDW 5015 is an advancement from the HD 4.40. The design itself can be worn in three different ways. It can be worn as a classic headset with the band over your head, over the ear, or behind the neck. This is beneficial to those who constantly find themselves using the headset all day as it can be worn differently for your comfort.

This headset also includes dual connectivity connecting to a computer and a desk phone if needed for a better workflow. The base set is also included for up to three wireless headsets in sync with the same base for any quick meetings.

The range is up to 590ft so you can access your calls from anywhere in your office building as this is greater than the average office building but double-check to make sure. There is also a do not disturb feature that is indicated by a red light on the side of the headset so all calls can be finished in peace.

This is more for your colleagues to be aware that you are busy and not to be disturbed. During these calls, you have two microphones to enhance the clarity of your voice as well as ultra noise-canceling technology.

This product meets one of the top long-range headphones at 590ft. With all the other added features this advanced technology is set at a higher price but worth it when it comes down to the range and features.

Specifications

  • Range: 590 feet
  • Wireless, DECT
  • Dual connectivity
Pros
  • Excellent Long Range
  • Multi wear design
  • Great Sound Quality
Cons
  • Connectivity Troubles
  • Battery Issues

Sample Customer Review… Just got mine today. Very easy to set up. Just plugin and use. Connected to my computer and cell phone. The sound quality on both ends is very good. The noise-canceling works well, I have a small desk fan blowing on my body and the other person couldn’t hear it.

I also recorded myself and didn’t hear the fan. Very comfortable in the headset configuration. Tried doing the neck config but I don’t like the holder pushing on my temple and behind the ear. Quality is really good all around, I feel like I got my monies worth.

10. Discover Adapt 30

The Discover Adapt has the option between single and dual speakers to maximize comfort throughout your workday.

This product is compatible with 98% of desk phones and has a wireless connection of up to 350 ft range with their noise-canceling microphone. You will be able to talk on a secure DECT technology with up to 9 hours of battery on a single charge.

For your peace of mind, this product offers a 3-year warranty. The battery is not as long as other products but the 3-year warranty offers a bit more ease to those who may be cautious.

This is a product perfect for people who may go on different floors from their device and are constantly moving. Another thing is the DECT technology that is helpful if you are doing business such as transferring money or anything that you would like to keep confidential.

The DECT and warranty are some great features of this product but the battery life is lower than most on the list. Keep in mind it is still long enough for the average workday but it is okay if you prefer something longer just in case.

Specifications

  • Range: 350 feet
  • Can switch between single and dual speakers
  • Compatible with most corded desk phones
  • 3 year warranty
Pros
  • 3-year warranty
  • Great Quality
Cons
  • Shorter battery life but long enough for a workday

Sample Customer Review… I am using it with an AT&T Bluetooth office phone. I love that I can answer both the landline and my cell phone with this headset and keep working hands-free! It works great and I switch between the single & the double headset band depending on how I am wearing my hair that day. (it makes a difference in how well it stays on my head). I will recommend it to anyone who asks me about headsets.

I work from home now, and with the range that this headset works in, I can go anywhere in my home and still be connected, (main floor or basement, where my office is, even outside if I don’t go too far). I love it, thank you.

11. Jabra PRO 9450 Duo

No products found.

The Jabra PRO has a noise-canceling microphone to reduce the background noise of possibly busy offices. The range is up to 490 feet of wireless mobility to move freely throughout the office and still have a clear conversation with HD voice for high-quality audio and clear communication. With Remote Asset Management, the base allows for quick sync to either your company phone or computer with an included mute button for quick access. This is another reputable brand known for its quality and durability.

The price of the Jabra PRO is on the less expensive side for a class one range. It has been recommended as a great product for a busy work environment but there have been mixed opinions about the sound quality. The majority favor the sound quality but most lower rating reviews have given this product a low rating for the sound quality so it could be a hit or miss for this product. Keep in mind there are other Jabra products on the list with more improvements to these issues.

Specifications

  • Range: 490 feet
  • Compatible with corded desk phones and computers
  • Dual speakers
  • Noise cancelation
Pros
  • Great Range
  • Great for busy work environments
Cons
  • Issues with Charging Cradle
  • Mixed Reviews on Sound Quality

Sample Customer Review… I purchased this for my office desk phone and cell phone, and I’ve not been disappointed. It switches easily between the phone and computer, and I love how comfortable it is to wear (I use the over-the-ear piece) and that I can still hear what’s going on around me.

Review from Global Teck Worldwide.

Choosing The Best Long Range Headphones

There is more to the headphones than the range. There are other factors to consider to decide what is best for you so I have included four factors to consider when picking the best headphones for you.

Design

Most of the designs on the list are headsets and others are over-the-ear headphones. If you are looking for a long-range headphone for work in an office then the headsets will be the best fit for you because of the microphone and appear more professional. If you are planning to use it for the office, it is also good to check which brands they have used in the past and go from there based on feedback. If you are planning to get a long-range headphone for any other needs the over-the-ear headphones are better for comfort and audio.

Range

Next is the range. The range of Bluetooth headphones comes in three classes. The first class is 328 feet and higher, the second class is considered the average range at 33 feet, and class three is under 33 feet. Finding the class that is best for you is based on the range you need your calls to reach. For example, if you are working in a space where you often walk around a room full of cubicles or just often in the same area, classes 2 and 3 will be perfect.

There is no reason to get an even longer range unless it will be used because the longer ranges tend to be more expensive so you want to make sure you are making the most out of your product. Another thing to help is by looking at how large your office building/space is to help get an idea of the exact range you often work with.

Quality

Of course, the main aspect is the range for this article but it is also great to look at the quality of each product. Some products are known for better sound quality, durability, or noise-canceling quality. It is important to look at these factors because you want the product that will best work for you. Now of course I would not include products that completely trash in quality there are just some products that are better in certain aspects than others. So, prioritizing your wants can help narrow down the choice.

Features

Next, a few of the headsets have some added features to help ease your experience. It is also important to think if those features will be used or if it’s too much to keep up with while working. Some of the features such as the warranty is something to consider just for peace of mind. Most people decide their opinions on the product within the first year, so if that makes you feel more comfortable, that is an option to consider.

Of course, no one wants their money to go to waste. Another common feature is the DECT certification it ensures that all conversations are confidential so if that is the kind of business you do over the phone then the DECT certification is another feature to think about.

The last common feature would be battery life. Depending on your work schedule and the hours, this is something to look at if you prefer a longer battery life than a workday. If you do not mind having a shorter battery life and have a job where there is time to charge in between calls, that is a feature. Within that, some of the products have faster charging.

If you work in a fast-paced environment, it might come in handy to have one of the fast chargers products while you are on a lunch break or in a meeting. These are just some of the main features to consider overall it comes down to your preference these were just some factors to consider to help the deciding process.

Conclusion

As you may have noticed most of the products are meant for a work environment but there are other options if you intend on using a long range of headphones for another purpose. Overall its recommended to weigh the pros and cons of each product and the preferences you have to find the Best Long Range Headphone.
