1. Sony MDR7506

Sony MDR7506 is one of the best DJ headphones that has excellent audio with detailed sound quality. It also provides comfort for a long listening duration. The convenience of its lightweight and foldable design can never go wrong, especially if you travel often. Moreover, the price is unbeatable considering its value and quality. It would be excellent for you if you are beginning your DJ journey. The headset also offers an outstanding reduction of external noises for you to concentrate on performing at the booth. One of the inconveniences of the Sony MDR7506 is the fact that the wire is unremovable. It could be a hassle if you want to extend the cord or use an adapter.

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: 10Hz – 20 Hz
  • Impedance: 63 ohm
  • Design: Over Ear / Closed back
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 8.1 oz
Pros
  • Comfortable ear cups design
  • Lightweight
  • Affordable
  • Detailed sound quality
Cons
  • Cord is not removable

Sample Customer Review… As an audio producer, especially in the radio and music industries, these have been my go-to headphones for years. They sound fantastic yet natural and their ear-pads assure virtually no sound monitor leakage at loud volumes. Under rugged pro use, a pair of 7506s lasts a decade or so unless you yank the cord out or step on them… For my taste in pro audio, though, the sound and durability of these headphones far, far outweigh the pinch potential, and, for the bucks, you can’t get a better pro headphone.

Sample Customer Review… I cannot brag enough about these headphones. I’ve been consistently using them every day since I bought them. I use them to watch TV and play video games quietly without disturbing other people… They are super comfortable, there’s no sound leakage, and I swear the soundscape is fan-freaking-tastic. I never considered myself an audiophile before, but these headphones are on another level. I used them with music, because I was curious, and they basically ruined all other headphones for me. And they’re comfortable enough to wear for HOURS at a time, which I’ve done watching TV and playing video games… Anyway, best headphones I’ve ever owned. Thousand times recommend.

If you’re like me, you like to study music and figure out all the tricks in a song. These let you truly listen to every layer. Made me go back and listen to all my favorite artist. It’s a whole different experience. if you’re worried about the price, it’s a great investment just like any gear!!! 100/10

6. OneOdio Pro-10

  • Weight: 10.6 oz
Pros
  • Affordable
  • Comfortable design
  • Excellent bass
Cons
  • Not the best durability

Sample Customer Review… I love these! I’m not wealthy, so when I went looking for quality headphones budget played a big role. I’ve bought cheap before, and unfortunately quite often you get what you pay for. Well, I’m not sure how these brave the test of time but in initial tests, they perform quite well. The sound is awesome as is the fit. I can see that perhaps the included cables may eventually be the first weak spot. But not to worry, they PLUG into the headsets with a 1/8″ (or 1/4″) stereo plug, and they include two… Anyway, the sound response is decent. I’m sure I can spend hundreds of dollars and get headsets with better sound that may or may not even go to the bathroom for me and make me breakfast. But for the price, these are pretty darn awesome. Much better than what I was expecting.

V-MODA Corssfade is known for its excellent design built with metal, SteelFlex headband, and advanced sweat resistance. The over-ear design takes the comfort to the next level. This pair of headphones are commonly used among DJs as they provide exceptional sound and build quality.

One of the unique features is its dual-diagram drivers that offer bass and unparalleled clarity. However, this pair of headsets are a little pricey for those who have a lower budget. Besides, the clipfold and compact protective exoskeleton casing design are very convenient for travel.

  • Impedance: 32 ohm
  • Design: Over Ear
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 9.98 oz
Pros
  • Excellent durability
  • Impressive build
  • Comfortable design
  • Convenient folding and case
Cons
  • Not the best value
  • Expensive

Sample Customer Review… I love music, and with my job I have headphones on all day. These are hands down one of the best sets I own. I have tried all from the 50-100 dollar range up to the 500-700 dollar range. Now if you have a pure setup with a great amp dedicated for headphones then there might be a better set, but they would not be that much better. Amazing sound quality like hearing your favorite song again for the first time… These are full-size over-ear, but they are not insanely big, just perfect. Also came with a great case, the cable is very high quality and can even be exchanged for a cable with a boom mic. These are still new but I can’t imagine them getting better. I have had all the different beat products, Bose, Beyerdynamic. Audio dynamic and a few others… If you have the beats, sell them or return them and buy these, you will thank me.

8. AIAIAI TMA-2

The audio for TMA 2 is loud and punchy, which is perfect for DJs. With its titanium coated driver, the headphones have great distortion reducing ability. The middle bass is exceptionally clear compared to other products. These DJ headphones also have a beautiful design with luscious curves and a pleasant silky finish that is eye-catching on the stage.

Some may find the headband too tight on the head, so make you check the measurement before purchasing. In addition, you may need to purchase a case for it as it is not included in the product. The modular aspect is a bonus as replacement parts are cheap and easy to find.

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: N/A
  • Impedance: N/A
  • Design: On Ear
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 9.5 oz
Pros
  • Superb sound and bass quality
  • Sleek design
  • Durable design
Cons
  • No pivoting cups
  • Not the best value

Sample Customer Review… Great overall. As someone that isn’t much for heavy branding and nonsense, these fit the mold perfectly: well designed, modular, and made w/ minimal branding/logos. They are flexible and don’t feel like they’ll break from extended use. Another positive if you want to upgrade the speaker portions or headbands for sound profiles or comfort, you can as AIAIAI has loads of parts options available. I use them for DJing vinyl as well as general use (travel, at work, etc).

10. Shure SRH750DJ

Shure SRH750DJ is ranked as one of the best DJ headphones that have a wide soundstage with remarkable audio quality. There is nothing more important for a DJ to have headphones that realistically express musical experiences. These headphones are fairly affordable considering the fine quality these headsets provide. The overall design of the headsets is very comfortable.

However, the case that comes with the product is a soft pouch design, which is not as protective compared to the solid ones. The look is also not as sleek and stylish as other options. If that is not something you care too much about, it is a generally great product for DJs. Aside from DJing, these headphones are also good for studio recordings and music in general.

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: 5Hz – 30kHz
  • Impedance: 44 ohm
  • Design: Over Ear
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 10.26 oz
Pros
  • Affordable
  • Superb clarity
  • Wide soundstage
  • Secure and comfortable
Cons
  • Plastic Material
  • Soft Carrying pouch
  • Not very stylish

Sample Customer Review… As a working pro DJ and producer, I’ve come across many headphones but I must say,..this one is one of my favorites! Great sound at high volumes without distortion. Very good isolation, works great in loud environments. The earpads are very comfortable and great for long-time wear besides the fact that they are the most long-lasting I’ve ever come across. And if that’s not enough, they come with an extra pair… I’ve used this product for 3 to 4 days a week, for more than 2 years now outlasting other pro headphones costing up to more than twice as much. Comes with a long coiled cord and a nice leather pouch for protection while in transport. Folds in neatly for storage. Totally love this gear and its price! Definitely will be buying again when and if the one I have decides to die! 100% recommend!

11. Beats Pro Over-Ear Wired Headphone

This headphone has an exceptional audio quality that reflects the originality of pure sounds that would make it feel like you are listening from a studio. The superb sound quality is not the only feature that stands out but also the build quality of these headsets. Beats Pro is made of steel and aluminum with encasing overstuffed leather ear cups that ensure excellent durability.

The cost of having excellent durability is adding on the weight of this pair of headphones. If weight is not your concern, it will be a good DJ headphone option. However, this is one of the most expensive headphones on the market. For this price, you may be able to find other headphones with similar sound quality.

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: N/A
  • Impedance: N/A
  • Design: Over Ear
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 22 oz
Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Stylish
  • Excellent durability
Cons
  • Heavy
  • Expensive

Sample Customer Review… These are the real deal, no fakes at all… compared to my other ones, which I got from the apple store both sound the exact same.

12. JBL CLUB ONE

JBL CLUB ONE – Premium Wireless Over-Ear Headphones have high quality sounds with over ear design. The features certainly prove that they are one of the best DJ headphones. One of another useful design is the dual aux that allows you to plug in cord on both sides of the headsets. Although they have excellent build and quality, the price is higher than others. If you are willing to invest, this could be the best DJ headphones for you.

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: 20Hz-20Hz
  • Impedance: 32 ohm
  • Design: Over Ear
  • Connection: Wired
  • Weight: 13.4 ounces
Pros
  • Excellent audio quality
  • Dual Aux
  • True Adaptive Noise Cancelling
Cons
  • Expensive

So I’m just a consumer and with that only ever had consumer-grade headphones but felt the need to experiment with these and I am seriously equal parts impressed and upset I never experienced music this way. For a consumer the sound is incredible. So crisp and the controls on the side of the ears are simplistic and just work… The equalizer included in the app can be adjusted to whatever sound quality you prefer. The noise-canceling is excellent (hear everything perfectly clear while mowing). I was recently talking to my dad on a phone call through these and the sound quality on my end was excellent. Equally the voice quality on my dad’s end was just as good. He actually thought I was talking to him through my cellphone. Noise-canceling was great, with no background noise on either end. The build is very solid and sturdy as well. Definitely recommend. Again, I’m an average consumer when it comes to the headphones market so keep that in mind. I not actively looking for studio or DJ quality pieces.

Things To Consider For DJ Headphones Shopping

Audio Quality

When you are DJing, sound quality is one of the most important elements to consider while shopping. In a club or party environment, deep bass and loudness would definitely be a plus as it provides more concentration of sounds, rhythm, and beats. For instance, headphones with the ability to handle high-pressure levels can make your DJ experiences easier.

Some of the helpful specifications to look at are frequency response and impedance. Frequency response explains how well the headsets can reproduce different tones. And impedance affects output stage and distortion. To put it in a simple way, low impedance headphones are good in terms of volume but are bad in terms of distortion.

Durability

Durability is one of the most important elements to look for when you are purchasing the best DJ headphones. Clubs, parties, and festivals often have a lot of enthusiasm and energy. You would never know what would happen. Buying a pair of headphones with excellent durability would ensure your DJ experience goes smoothly, especially on these occasions.

For example, metal-built headphones are usually more durable compared to plastic-built designs. Headbands are usually the most vulnerable part of the headphones as it stretches and moves around the most when you are putting on and taking off your headsets frequently.

The earcup design quality is critical as well when you decide which headphones you are spending your money on. The rotatable capsule is something to search for as it provides single-ear listening. If you want to check the sounds or have a quick conversation with someone when you are on set, this design will save you the hassle of completely taking off your headsets.

Comfort

Comfort is essential for the best DJ headphones as you would be listening to music for an extensive period of time. Over-Ear designs are generally more comfortable compared to On-Ear due to the ear cup having a better seal around your ears.

The weight of the headphones also matters as different people have different preferences. Material and paddings are also something to take a careful look for when you are buying a new pair of DJ headsets. In addition, there are also closed back and open back headset options for you to choose from.

Conclusion

In this review, you have learned most of everything you need to know about the best DJ headphones currently available. The list provided 10 possible options for you whether you are an experienced DJ or you are just starting out your DJ journey.

Because we want you to be as professional as you can be, we included each products’ specifications and descriptions for you to compare. Everyone has different rubrics for judging audio quality and comfort levels and it is important that you take a careful look into the products you are planning on purchasing.
