We wanted motion detector lights that just stay on long enough for us to walk through. These lights are better than perfect. You can either have them on at night continuously (until the solar battery goes out), or choose from 2 motion detector options: on bright for 15 seconds then remain dim until reactivated, or, on bright for 15 seconds then go dark until reactivated. We went with the last option, and it’s exactly what we wanted. The path on the side of the house stays lit until we get to the front gate, so then we installed a second light under our garage roof, using the same option, for the front. Both work great. My husband easily installed them, the lights come with two screws and wood anchors each, and the instructions are simple enough to follow. The motion detector works when it’s supposed to, and the light is bright enough. We may buy a couple more, for dark areas of the backyard, and use the first option (leaving them on until the battery goes out each night).
