Most of the ramps featured are extremely lightweight and portable, some even folding down to make transporting and storing as easy as possible. We strive to make sure that you will find what you are looking for.
We know that people who are in the market for ramps are looking for something that is going to get the job done swiftly, that is why the individual weight has been taken into consideration when reviewing these ramps. Lightweight, while also durable, is the best combination you could ask for! It’s imperative that you’re able to carry and transport your ramps without fear of injury. Some other important things to consider when you are buying a ramp for your vehicle are details like; what equipment do you need to load/unload? How heavy is your equipment? Do you have room to store large ramps, or do you need foldable ones? Do you need a ramp that is slip-proof for enduring the elements? It’s easy to forget the little things, that’s why we’re here to help.
Here is the buyer’s guide to loading ramps, featuring the six best ramps that we think will be helpful for all of your loading and unloading needs, ranging from a maximum weight capacity of 600 lb to 6,000 lb.
Top 12 Best Loading Ramps
1. Black Widow Dual Runner ATV Ramp
The Black Widow Dual Runner ATV Ramp is a great option for those looking to load and unload ATVs as they please. These aluminum ramps can hold up to 750 lb each (1,500 lb total). These ramps have an arched design that helps to provide enough clearance from the ground in order to ensure that whatever you are loading will make it safely into your truck.
The Black Widow Ramps include adjustable safety straps and rubber mountings to protect your vehicle from damage while loading. The 3” spaces between each crossbar provide the traction to be able to load and unload in the elements, whether your tires are wet or covered in mud. They are lightweight and easy to carry despite their heavyweight capacity which makes them a great choice for your loading and unloading needs.
- 7’ long each, lightweight
- Maximum capacity = 750 lb per ramp
- Arched design
- Safety straps included
Sample Customer Review… Prior to buying this ramp, I was looking at several other different ramps. There are two things that I look for in a ramp, one being length of the ramps and two being prices. This ramp is long enough for me to load my lawn mower up the truck. A steep ramp is hard to load heavy and immobile things, and a lawn mower is not exactly a powerful machine to run up a steep ramp without the extra push on my part. Second to that is price. Some of the ramps that I’ve looked at are either too short or too pricey, although they are all pretty decent.
The second thing about this ramp is that it’s LIGHT. Yes…light. It looks like it’s made from aluminum or something similar. The welding on the joints looks pretty tough. The ramp folds in half. When unfolded, it offers a decent slope from the ground to my Tundra truck. Overall, I’m very happy with this. It looks like it can handle a load of 1K lbs or less easily. Anything heavier than that warrants a closer scrutiny on the part of the user.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
2. Reese Explore 7454000 Centerfold Loading Ramp
This steel Reese Explore Centerfold Loading Ramp is strong, durable, and more resistant to damage when compared to aluminum ramps. This reliable set of ATV ramps measure 11” wide and 80” long when connected together.
They can also be separated into two half-length loading ramps for loading and unloading onto shorter trailers. When combined together, they make a great ramp for two-wheeled vehicles like motorcycles. It folds for easy storage and each ramp can hold a maximum capacity of 800 lb, so when used together they are designed to support just about any ATV.
- 80” long (when together), 11” wide.
- Separate in half for flexibility and storage. Each 40” long.
- Maximum capacity of 800 lb each.
Sample Customer Review… Simple, versatile, excellent value. Bought it to load my motorcycle into my shed that sits about 12″ above the ground. Because of this, I separated it into two ramps because the single ramp is meant for higher loading (up to 36″). I can now also use the two ramps for loading/unloading my snowblower.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
3. Broozer Truck Trailer Ramps
The Broozer 84” Truck Trailer Ramps are designed to hold the highest needed maximum weight capacity for loading and unloading any type of ATV/UTV. They have a total weight capacity of 6,000 lb (3,000 lb each) and are great for anyone who wants to play it safe while loading. - 84” long, 14.5” wide
- Maximum combined total capacity = 6,000 lb
- Perfect for maximizing safety while loading and unloading
Sample Customer Review… Performed perfectly for what I needed. Car is 4500 pounds so way under the limit of these. No issues with the ramps. Good ramps. I say way under the limit because only 2 tires touched the ramps at any one time which could be assumed is close to half the weight of the vehicle or in worst case 60% to 70% of the weight with the angle being considered.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
4. Yutrax Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ramp
The Yutrax Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ramp is a smart alternative to aligning a pair of ramps for loading. At just 32 lb, the Yutrax Tri-Fold Ramp can hold up to 1,750 lb safely and easily. Sample Customer Review… These ramps are great. I work in agriculture scouting crops using a 4 wheeler that I haul in my extended cab 1500 Silverado pickup. I load/unload my 4-wheeler between 20-40 times on a typical day. I wanted to have a ramp that was as long as possible to reduce the angle when loading especially. These ramps fit perfectly under the 4-wheeler in my 6.5ft pickup box so I can also close the tailgate to secure the wheel inside the box. After 3 crop seasons and countless loading cycles the ramps are still in great shape. There isn’t any bending or warping and they still fold up nicely. They are also are easy to handle and don’t weight much. I have also loaded my 800 Polaris ranger onto trailers with these ramps and they still haven’t bent.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

- Max capacity = 600 lb
- 2.5” angled lip to secure ramps in place
- Lightweight loading ramp for lightweight goods
Sample Customer Review… It is made very well. The power wheelchair goes up and down easily.
I am a 55 year old with muscle and joint ailments so someone else may not think it is heavy. 😀
It is too wide to use on the side opening of my 2001 Ford Windstar but works great at the back opening.
Also tried it at the step at my front door and worked great there too. I have to open the screen door first as there is not enough room for the door to clear the raised edges. That is fine also as I do not plan to leave it in place.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and glad I made the purchase.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

- Safety straps included
- Serrated crossbars for traction
Sample Customer Review… Okay, so I have a 2007 Yamaha Rhino that has a wet weight of 1100 lbs. I was borrowing my buddy’s 7 foot ramps to drive my Rhino into the bed of my truck but hated the feeling of tipping over on those 7′ ramps. These are rated at 1200 lbs so my Rhino is damn close to the max. Just to be sure I fashioned so 2X4 wood supports in the event I want to put something in the bed of my Rhino and load it onto the bed of my truck. Have had them several months with no issues. The next step up (1600 lbs) ramps were twice the cost. I would buy these again but they do flex a lot so don’t anticipate they will carry a pound over what is rated! Use them as directed and you will be happy.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
7. Pit Posse PP2755 Truck Ramp
The Pit Posse truck ramps are made out of sturdy aluminum to make the ramp lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant which means that it can withstand extreme weather and corrosion. In addition to their reliable construction, these ramps include heavy-duty hinges, joints, and crossbars that are welded so that the ramp can be folded and unfolded without any malfunctions. These ramps are perfect for loading dirt bikes and other 2-wheel off-roading sports equipment that don’t weigh more than 750 pounds.
- 11” wide and 89” long, 46” when folded
- Maximum capacity = 750 pounds
- Single loading ramp
- Made from 6063 aluminum
- Compatible with both trucks and vans
Sample Customer Review… I have a “trackside” ramp from cycle gear but wanted another one so that I can walk my 600rr up the ramps and onto my pickup (Ram 1500). The Pit Posse ramp looked exactly the same as the trackside ramp and it was cheaper.. so I bought it. At first I thought they were the exact same ramp but the Amazon/pit posse ramp has is a bit more arched than the trackside ramp. This is good if you have a full sized pickup and are worried about the bottom of your sport bike scraping against the tailgate as you load it. There was plenty of clearance. I had zero issues whatsoever loading the bike onto my truck. My only complaint is that the ramp does feel flimsy when standing on it and seems to have a decent amount of flex. I don’t think I would trust it at it’s 750lb capacity.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
8. TOOCA Loading Ramps
The TOOCA loading ramps for your vehicle are really handy, especially since they can support ATVs, motorcycles, other off-roading rides, and equipment, dirt bikes, garden tractors, and lawnmowers. Its ability to withstand all of these things is because of its construction, made out of an aluminum alloy that was manually welded together so that the product is sturdy and durable. Since they can be folded, there are loading straps available so that they stay folded during transport. On the ends of the ramp, there are soft tips so that there is little to no abrasion that occurs between your vehicle and objects or equipment that you’re moving up and down the ramps. There are also rubber caps on the bottom of the ramps so that they don’t slip and move during loading.
- 11.8” wide and 89” long, 45.3” when folded
- Maximum capacity = 1,500 pounds
- Made from high-quality aluminum alloy
- Rubber footings to prevent slippage
Sample Customer Review… Had these guys mounted to my Ford F150 and was able to drive my ATV straight onto the truck bed without any issues. My ATV is approximately 700 lbs and I was confident these would hold by the durability I inspected these ramps before actually using them. They’re nicely welded and cut with no real sharp edges. The finish on these also has a nice shine that I’m hoping will stick around for a while. Package also comes with two straps which I find extremely convenient when trying to move a big vehicle such as an ATV. The boxed package does have some weight to it and I highly recommend moving it with two individuals or using a hand truck for assistance. I found it easier to just take the ramps out and move them individually. I haven’t tried to load anything bigger or denser equipment heavier than my ATV, but I will update review if I come across something my challenging. Lastly, the ramps fold up nicely and neatly and I’m able to store them in the corner of my trailer. Good value in comparison the it’s price point. Definitely would recommend to other ATV owners.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

The ramps also include adjustable safety straps that are for secure loading and unloading.
- 50” wide and 76” long
- Maximum capacity = 1,500 pounds
- Aluminum construction
- Single ramp surface
- Adjustable safety straps
Sample Customer Review… The good: My mower weighs over 600lbs and once you add my ~200lb frame this ramp handles it like it was nothing. The straps provided are easy to use to keep it from kicking out from underneath the mower and the tread provides plenty of traction even in a pouring down rain. Plus it’s super light and doesn’t take up much space when folded up.
The meh: The only thing I don’t care all that much for about it are the little circle clasps that are supposed to help keep it folded up. When I turn it the bolt spins too resulting in it tightening up too tight. I have no need for those things though. I just haven’t gotten around to removing them yet.
Overall I’m very impressed with this ramp. Waaaaaay better than the double ramp I bought just before this but never even used because it looked too sketchy and I didn’t trust them. If you’re wanting to use this ramp for something heavier, especially if it has smaller wheels, like casters, then I’m not sure this is what you want. But if you’re looking to use it for something similar to my mower then this is definitely the one to get.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

Due to the heavy maximum weight capacity, you can also be sure that you can load just about anything on these ramps and that it would be able to withstand them.

- Maximum capacity = 1,600 pounds
- 306-degree anti-slip ribs

- 8 pounds
- Made out of aluminum
- Each ramp has dimensions of 36″ L x 8″ W

Sample Customer Review… These ramps are perfect for getting my snowblower and lawnmower inside my shed. My shed sits on pavers so the bottom of the door is about 9 inches above the ground and the ramps are long enough so that the angle to climb is not too steep. They are lightweight but also very sturdy. I didn’t want to spend $100 or more. These do the job just fine for a much better price.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.

Sample Customer Review… Awesome product. Very sturdy, solid, well made, and extremely light. I’m using mine to move a 30+ gal gasoline gas caddy. The connectors to the truck tailgate are awesome. Sturdy and solid enough that I don’t have to use the optional connector safety straps, although you would probably use them for something very heavy like a motorcycle. I could not be happier with my purchase. Arrived in a day or two without any special delivery method.Read more reviews at Amazon.com.
Before Buying the Best Loading Ramps
Before you buy a ramp, you need to make sure you ask yourself what exactly you are looking for. Do you need your ramp to be able to carry a specific amount of weight? Are you looking for something extra wide to make sure your tires align properly?
Or are you looking for a trifold ramp to avoid the pressure of aligning your tires and the fear of shifting? Regardless of the qualifications you need to meet when shopping for ramps, it is important that you consider all of the fine details that we have laid out for you in our guide to the best loading ramps.
Hopefully, after reading through this buyer’s guide to the six best loading ramps, you have found something that will work for you! Weighing the pros and cons of different items can be tough, but we hope that you were able to use our carefully chosen featured products to make an informed decision about your ramp needs. It is important to consider all of your options before you buy a product.
We’ve found that aluminum ramps can hold a much higher maximum capacity of weight than ramps made out of other materials. As you can see in our guide, the Broozer 84” Truck and Trailer Ramps can hold up to 6,000 lb total on their aluminum design. Although they do not fold, they make a great ramp to maximize safety while loading which is a small price to pay for that compromise.
However, if you are looking for something that does fold while still being able to hold a heavy load, the Yutrax Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ramp can hold up to 1,750 and is much easier to transport! Obviously, there is a large difference in maximum capacity, but the likelihood that your ATV or other equipment exceeds the weight limit of the Yutrax ramp is slim since the average weight of an ATV is 500-600 lb.
For lighter loads, we have also included the Titan Briefcase Folding Utility Ramp which is perfect for smaller equipment like wheelchairs or lawnmowers. We wanted to make sure that we touched upon a wide range of options for all of your ramp needs. Sometimes it can be unnecessary to carry around larger ramps for things that may not need all of that support.
Our goal is that our research helps you! We want to make sure that you are able to find the ramp that meets your needs. Hopefully, the ones we have chosen have helped you narrow down your search in finding what is right for you and your vehicle. If not, maybe we answered some questions for you as to what certain qualifications you are looking for when shopping for ramps.
