So if you have never heard of Hearthstone, it is time to pack your bags and move back to Mars since the only explanation would be that you are an alien. This Hearthstone Arena Tier list will clearly list the classes that are best fit to conquer arena, so at the end of this list even you aliens can learn a thing or two.

Hearthstone brings millions of players immense joy, anger when losing against competitors, and most of all, a community. This amazing game has completely revolutionized the digital card game world as we know it today. The impact of Hearthstone caused the creation of various digital card games that also implement a combination of competitiveness and fun into their game. However, nothing comes close to the world of Hearthstone with out-of-this-world adventures, matches, and tasks.

Hearthstone has two main game modes- the single-player and multiplayer modes. The single-player game modes consist of missions, practice modes, and adventures, while the multiplayer modes consist of battlegrounds, tavern bawls, duels, and arenas. In this specific Hearthstone arena tier list, the main focus will be ranking the classes on the Arena game mode. S Tier: Warlock

Behold those who have power, and who are not afraid to wield it. Behold…the warlocks! Starting on a good note, first place goes to no other than Warlock. As those who are not afraid to wield power, Warlocks are willing to sacrifice their cards, their minions, and even their own life to gain an advantage on enemies.

 The Warlock Hero power is Life Tap which allows them to sacrifice two health to draw additional cards for victory. This trade is very advantageous since the ability to gain card advantage is the underlying way to win. As a result, Life Tap is one of the strongest Hero Powers since cards are the tool used to win.

Noteworthy cards for Warlock: 

There are 5 rarities: Free, Common, Rare, Epic, and most rare of all, Legendary.

Lord Godfrey: Deal 2 damage to all other minions. If any die, repeat this Battlecry.

A Tier: Demon Hunter and Warrior

The A-list class can only go to Demon Hunter and Warrior. First, let’s focus on why Demon Hunter ranked this marvelously. 

The Demon Hunter class is perfect for an aggressive play strategy. The goal is to overwhelm the enemy quickly before they get a chance to inflict a lot of damage. This is done by using quick and powerful burst damage. However, the Demon Hunter deck has a hard time dealing with high HP minions. The hero power for the Demon Hunter class is Demon Claws which is a one mana-cost boost to the Demon Hunter’s Attack.

The Warrior class tends to favor attacking and having creatures that can deal and take damage. The hero power is Armor up, which allows the warrior to gain two armor. This hero power is a powerful defensive option and is useful for building a wall of Armor, something the enemy will have to break to defeat the warrior.

Paladin and Mage both have a comfy spot in the B-Tier. These two classes, if played strategically, can lead to an advantage in the arena. First, let’s talk about Paladin. 

Look, what’s that in the sky! Oh, little one, those are the holy knights, the Paladin. The Paladin is a class that favors strength over speed. They can efficiently deal damage, heal allies, and protect teammates. This class is a control deck which attempts to attain victory in the late game by staying alive to reach the later rounds to use powerful cards.

 However, compared to other classes, the Paladin class has relatively no potential for burst damage, which is a great weakness in the arena. The Paladin ranks in the B-tier since it has access to healing cards which combats some of their weaknesses.

The hero power for Paladin is Reinforce, which provides an unending supply of weak minions that can be improved using spells or used to weaken the enemy’s forces, for Justice!

One of the most popular classes in the game, the Mage class, uses a variety of spells to overcome their enemies. 

However, the limitations are that the Mage minions are weaker on average and are usually dependent on spell linkage. As a result, bad draws leave the Mage class vulnerable in the arena. So to the Mage, the Warrior class that uses an immense amount of armor is its worst enemy.

The hero power for Mage is Fireblast, which can be used to deal 1 damage to any target.

Well, you know the saying, C’s get degrees. The two classes in the C-Tier are no other than Druid and Hunter. So let’s get into why the Druid was placed in this tier.

Druid does not have the same burst as the more aggressive classes but is a pro in mana pool accumulation and speed. This class is great for those who want a consistently good performance throughout the arena match. 

The hero power for the Druid is Shapeshift. This wonderful power gives the druid a +1 attack for that turn, and a +1 armor, which allows them to face enemy minions head-on or even directly attack the enemy hero.

The Hunter class has an aggressive hero power and is great at killing opponents quickly. Sadly, Hunter’s luck runs out at the later parts of the game. Hunter has trouble keeping up with the classes that use a lot of healing.

Hunter was given the Hero power called Steady Shot. This power deals 2 damage directly to the enemy hero, which is very straightforward.

The Rogue class earns its spot in the D-tier category. But don’t let this confuse you. The Rogue is still a strong class. Rogue has the most efficient minion removal in the game. The Rogue class can deal a lot of damage and defeat many minions in a fast manner. However, if the enemy has great healing minions, the Rogue class often ends up in a nearly impossible situation. One where there is not enough damage left in their deck to win the game. Well played.

The hero power of the Rogue allows your hero to destroy 1-health minions. This power allows for your minions to stay alive longer, which adds value.

F-Tier: Shaman and Priest

Dun, dun, dun…yes. The F tier classes are Shaman and Priest. These two classes are mostly disadvantageous in the arena setting. Let’s go into why the Shaman ranked this poorly. 

Ah…the Shaman class. The Shaman are very flexible and have an array of class cards with different uses. Shamans can also play a very strong minion and spell cards for little mana, at the cost of losing available mana the following turn. 

The Shaman needs to play aggressively and will not see the rewards until after several turns. However, this class can be very strong in the arena, but most of this strength lies in their rare cards, which are unreliable and unpredictable in the Arena.

The Shaman hero power also supports the reason why this class is F-tier. This class’ hero power is Totemic Call, which randomly summons 1 of 4 possible Totem-type minions. This hero power is highly random, which makes it a gamble. It is not so ideal since Totems are not a serious threat but rather just a simple delay for your opponent.

The final class accompanying Shaman in the F-class is no other than Priest. The Priest is one of the most defense-oriented classes. They pride themselves on the ability to keep their minions alive with healing hero power. 

However, the Priest has a low damage output, lacking strong high-attack minions and ways of dealing burst damage. As a result, the Priest must win the game by gradually lessening the enemy’s health through their resilient minions.

The hero power for the Priest is Lesser Heal, which allows them to heal any target for 2 health each turn. This power can be used on minions and heroes; however, since Priest lacks strong high attack minions along with other essentials, the hero power will not be very helpful if the opponents have good health, high-attack minions, and powerful spells.
